The ensemble mixes pumping, percussive Didjeridu with fat tribal beats, funky dub bass lines with world percussion sounds to create a unique tribal-technological deep earth dance experience.

JULIUS POPPER

Nacidos en Concepción, y con un sonido que acusa fuertes influencias del blues y el rockabilly, Julius Popper nació el 2005 con el liderazgo del carismático Alejandro Venegas. Su nombre se inspira en un personaje de comienzos de siglo, que participó en la infame conquista de la Patagonia, y que ellos extrajeron del libro El corazón a contraluz, de Patricio Manns. La banda, que incluye teclados y bronces, comenzó presentándose en circuitos universitarios. La edición de un disco el año 2009 les ha permitido ampliar sus presentaciones a Santiago y otras ciudades, y contar con su significativo grupo de seguidores.
