No Empty Promises

An emotional and upbeat song about an old father who has been hospitalized and is dying (no it is NOT a covid-19 song. Please, there was hardship even before 2020). His son or daughter stands on the other side of the glass and encourages him to fight on. On the surface an uplifting message in trying time, but underneath it also about how we rarely learn from the past and readily hit the next disaster head-on.

This song is more conventional and easily accessible than my previos album. Hope you enjoy it.

Numbers flying up the wall. It looks bad, but it isn’t our down fall
We’ll make it thorugh the fire. Then we’ll be going higher
We will get us into gear, we’ll buckle up and overcome our fear
We won’t reflect on what went wrong and hit the next iceberg head-on
