A bouncing house groove poised for the club and catwalk, “NYWTF” features spaced-out commentary on the NYC party circuit from globally renowned Producer Mikhail Beltran, bringing in a heavy bassline for its extended edit to deliver a pair of soon-to-be set mainstays.

An homage to her birthplace, “NYWTF” builds on Chloé’s growing production credits following her debut artist single, “Love Ain’t Over,” and recent remix of Keinemusik’s “Paris” punctuating her sets as she tours across the globe.

Rose Motion is one of our favourite new house music artists. The Canadian/Australian duo of Malik Garraway and Jamie-Rose Johnson have delivered some brilliant original cuts, and their collab with Fab Massimo ("Wanna Dance") was one of last year's best releases on Glasgow Underground. On "Shakin' That Thing", they join forces with Kevin McKay for a hypnotic deep house workout. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Defected Records presents a series of extra special collaborative releases: Together, integrating talent from the label’s storied past and the stars of its future. On the latest release, Riva Starr joins forces with Hilit Kolet for ‘Twerq It’ featuring NEZ. No stranger to the Defected family, Riva Starr’s relationship with the label continues to blossom, following standout releases like ‘Love Divine’ and his celebrated Defected House Masters collection– not to mention standout performances at Defected’s flagship festival in Croatia and their Ibiza residency at Ushuaïa. 

Fast-rising London DJ and producer Hilit Kolet also has a history with the label, with Defected releasing her debut single ‘Techno Disco’ and its follow-up release ‘POV Siren’ on Faith marking her as a serious name to watch, before this year’s trio of singles ‘Hot Mess’, ‘Everything Is Amazing’ and ‘Snap Talk’ cemented her reputation as the producer behind the bleeding edge of 2024’s fiercest beats. Mat.Joe began as a project between Matthias and Johannes, two young men based in Berlin with a deep connection to music. Back in 2006, Rap, Breakdance and Skateboarding were the passions that kickstarted their friendship and this deep connection is reflected in their music. In 2008, they formed the producer team Twomanics and concentrated on authentic and credible hip hop productions for independent artists.
As of 2024, Matthias takes on his music career as an individual, carrying the legacy that Mat.Joe has built over the last decade. Over the years, Mat.Joe has developed their trademark sound of house beats paired with rhythmic soul and hip-hop elements. The result is deep and dancefloor-qualified, warm and rough. Inspiration is found everywhere between subway rides, late night showers and favorite bars - and new ideas are always on the way, evolving with the always-changing culture of dance music and growing with the artist.
