Trading in a white picket fence for living out of a van, synthpop artist Brady Allard is the multi-instrumentalist behind Winnipeg’s Warming. His music began to take form of an obsession when he left his job, his house and his partner of a decade. While living out of a van, he wrote the 12 song LP - a lush, driving mix of 80’s inspired pop, twisted synth noises, lonely arrangements and memories of his former life.

Recorded over three days at Collector Studios in Winnipeg, Canada. Borrowing an army of old synthesizers from friends; Allard transformed a collection of acoustic songs, and field recordings into a debut synth-pop masterstroke.

2021 marked 30 years of Tyler Sneesby, a.k.a. DJ Hunnicutt, making and performing music. He has recorded on dozens of albums, including most of the releases from Peanuts & Corn Records—the acclaimed independent hip-hop label he cofounded in 1994—as well as on records by Rheostatics and, most recently, Rusty Robot.

Hunnicutt has played his “kitchen-sink” style mix of hip-hop, soul, Latin and house music at clubs as far away as New York City, Oslo, Bogotá and Berlin, and has shared the stage with the likes of Biz Markie, James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

elle fast is a DJ and promoter based in Winnipeg, Treaty 1 territory.

Unconcerned with genres and dedicated to storytelling via unusual grooves, her sets weave through assorted shades and eras of house, techno, experimental, and breakbeat, often held together by a thick bassline and/or generous helping of machine funk.

Current projects and affiliations include music for bathtubs, a mix series inviting guests to explore the dustier, downtempo corners of their collections; and 1/3 of Proper, a Winnipeg-based event series showcasing local and regional artists (with @djshael & @markgrimace).

As all that I saw, I was sill forgotten by those who were tall.

Kilma is carving out a unique space in the dance music cosmos. After years in the bass realm as Sw@t, she began to grow in new directions, exploring and finding new fulfillment in house, techno, and breakbeats. Truly great artists embrace reinvention, and Kilma’s metamorphosis is no different. While her love for bass and snares still shines through, it’s filtered through her passion for house and techno rhythms, making for sets that take the listener on a journey, destination inward. Since this artistic rebirth, Kilma has been pushing the limits of the notions of “artist” and “listener”, merging their worlds, and creating a new dynamic. Not just a DJ, her original work as a producer reflects her eclectic sensibilities, while her published works in such publications as Decoded Magazine, DJ Mag Canada, Digital DJ Tips, The Passionate DJ, and her own website, DontKilmaVibe.com, have given her a voice far beyond the dance floor.
Ultimately, though, it’s Kilma live performance that defines her creative influence. Her clear understanding of music shines through, and her innate ability to control a crowd, along with her unique mixing, exclusive tunes, and an unparalleled presence, continue to set the tone for her showcase sets.
