Quad Tone Generation

supercollider showcase (August 2016, when the groups were killed - 2014)

This is a stereo output recording of a tone generation experiment coded in SuperCollider. I am developing code that aggregates sound sources and this is a little parade of some of those sounds. At some point this work will be incorporated into the QuadTool.

ToneSet 02

Stereo reduction of a test of the "multi_2" instrument of the QuadTool, a software based system built in SuperCollider and Lemur.

This is a sketch of an idea I have for a sonic shape called The Cloud.

Multi 2 Test

This is a stereo mix of a test of the QuadTool running the "ultraShort" instrument. The ultraShort instrument generates location-specific sound at a rate that creates a synthesis effect, much like spatial-modulation synthesis.

This is one example of what the quadraphonic listening space can sound like.

Multi 2 UltraShort Test

A short test of some SuperCollider code to generate hetereodyning, or "beat frequencies". Someday to incorporate into the QuadTool.

Heterodyne Test

Short audio file of an attempt to "play" four Band instruments of the QuadTool (created using SuperCollider) while also testing the automation of some of the sound parameters.

Only uses the two front output busses, the end result being a stereo mix. Not fully quad.

Multi 8 AutomationTest

This album is inspired by a painting by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Every sound is created randomly using a computer language named SuperCollider and processed through a software called Kaleidoscope.
