Biography
Big Room Drama is a concept and night set up by Matt Capone and Birdsy back in 2004. Sharing a diverse taste in house music they decided to work to together to bring new nights to the Derby clubbing scence. 

A Big Room Drama night can encompass many different forms of music ranging from house to techno to club classics. 

The first night was born supporting Judge Jules at the legendary Derby Night Progress’s birthday party. The night was such a success that Big Room Drama were invited back to hold down a residency at Progress whose guests included the likes of Eddie Halliwell to Brandon Block and then became famous for hosting the second room and playing extended 12 hour back to back sets known for their diversity.

From there the nights continued to gather pace and they held down a weekly residency at Derby’s highly regarded tonic bar which would be full to capacity week in week out. During this busy time Big Room Drama also had many local gigs throughout the midlands and had a successful monthly residency in the back room at the UK’s premier drum and bass night interface whose guests would include Grooverider, Goldie, Andy C and Pendulum.

During the summer of 2008 Big Room Drama were asked to take up a residency at a new bar opening in Derby called the Sunlounge. 

This would be a completely new concept, a unique style of bar with an open air terrace the kind of which you would expect to see in ibiza . 

Matt and Birdsy are responsible for promoting the nights and the music programming. Starting out featuring just with DJs the nights have grown from strength to strength and over the last few years guests who have rocked the Sunlounge have include: 

Ant Brooks, Sonny Wharton, Pete Gooding (Renaissance/Space Ibiza), Pete Griffiths (Toolroom Records), Gavyn Mytchel (The Gallery/Ministry of Sound), Hayley Parsons, Fran Cosgrave, Nelski, Jay C (Space Ibiza), MYNC, Pete Jordan and Godskitchen’s worldwide resident Paul Thomas ( who liked it so much that he has been back to play 3 times) amongst many others...

With future nights planned and collabarations with some of the country’s premier clubbing brands in the pipeline Big Room Drama will go from strength to strength. 

In Early 2012 Matt and Birdsy were invited to play the Legendary 103 Bar at the World famous Ministry of Sound nightclub, London,for the Gallery, supporting Tall Paul, a Pinnacle moment in both the lads careers to date. Another date has been confirmed for later in the year which will see the lads return to Ministry...

Each week you can hear some of the finest house, tech house and techno from the lads at the Club TEN which is full to capacity on a weekly basis.
