A native New Orleanian, music is in our blood.  Here's how you can tell.  If hearing only the first four notes of a song can make you shout, throw your paper  towel (or anything resembling a handkerchief) in the air, and take one more sip of a warm beer, just so you can make sure you're first in line for the dance we call the "Second Line", it's dat music in yo blood cher. BearDance® provides much-needed financial support to local LGBT charities and nonprofit organizations serving community needs. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, BearDance raises these funds through the production and marketing of unique events that bring bears, cubs, their friends and admirers closer together. Our marquee event BearDance: TBRU each March during Texas Bear Round-Up in Dallas set another attendance record in 2013, surpassing 2,000 paid admissions. So far we’ve raised nearly $100,000 for organizations such as Youth First Texas, AIDS Interfaith Network, AIDS Services of Dallas, Sharon St. Cyr Foundation, The Greg Dollgener Memorial AIDS Fund (GDMAF) and AIDS Arms. In 2013--their first year in contention--BearDance was chosen "Top Party for a Cause" by readers of the Dallas Voice in the annual Readers Voice Awards.
