Today we come to you with a lil special love nugget. This is a track we put together sometime ago and have been playing it in more intimate and cosy gatherings. It's our re-interpretation of a track called Goin' Bad from Soul Keita released on the marvellous Other People imprint back in 2010. Soul Keita is an artist we've been inspired by over the years and our curiosity has led us to really soak up every single piece he has released. Other than what remains of his music under this alias, he's been traceless for years.

Somewhere on a quiet Greek island, in a house filled with memories, Boatman wrote Nina’s Childhood. It wasn’t planned, just something the place pulled out of him. Kids laughing, waves rolling in—it had the bones of something real. Moodfamily heard it and knew it had to be heard.

Space Love Transit isn’t just an EP, it’s a passage. A soundscape of change, of leaving and arriving, of finding something or losing it all over again. Boatman, who’s played everywhere from Tomorrowland to Garbicz to underground hideouts, doesn’t make music for categories. He makes it for people who feel.

For COZ, DJing is more than a creative outlet — it’s a moment of complete presence. It’s about locking into the mix, taking risks, and riding that line between control and spontaneity. Whether it's warming up a dancefloor or curating a soundtrack for the everyday, COS brings a deep focus and intentionality to every set.

Raised in Raglan, COZ was immersed in dub and reggae from an early age, while also absorbing the sounds of acid jazz (Brooklyn Funk Essentials), punk (Ian Dury, Sleaford Mods), and lo-fi textures. These influences continue to shape his genre-fluid style — spanning deep house, deep tech, minimal, Ro minimal, indie dance, dub, and punk-inflected grooves.

A pivotal moment in his journey came at AUM Festival 23/24, where his set on the Kanuka Stage marked the point everything fell into place — a realization of connection, passion, and purpose behind the decks.

Inspired by artists like  Out of Sorts, Finn Jackson, and events by LO-FI , COS leans into music that’s rich in groove and subtle energy. His mixes are often built for versatility — just as fitting for home listening or a drive as they are for late-night dancefloors. A typical COS set might open with vocal-led selections, transition into hypnotic, driving rhythms, and return to something soulful to close — always evolving, always intentional.

COZ is a selector with range, taste, and a growing presence in Aotearoa’s underground scene — driven by instinct, shaped by sound, and fuelled by the risk and reward of the mix.

Tricky has recruited heavyweight Italian producer and fellow !K7 artist DJ Tennis to remix ‘Running Wild feat. Mina Rose’, the third single to be taken form his universally acclaimed 13th studio album, Ununiform. Drawing on more than two decades of experience, DJ Tennis AKA Manfredi Romano has built up his reputation as an eclectic DJ and versatile producer.

The Life and Death label head twists Tricky’s hypnotic original with haunting electronics and brooding synths for an absorbing reinterpretation that is certain to entertain fans of Tricky and DJ Tennis alike.

Ununiform is the first album made since Tricky moved to Berlin, three years ago. While many people move to the clubbing capital of Europe to party, this was a clean break in every sense of the word. “I like it here because I don't know anybody. I eat good food, I go for walks, I've got a bike. I’m trying to look after myself. I don’t drink here. Some people call it boring, but I wake at 9am and I'm asleep by 11 o’clock at night. I’m looking after myself.”

Tricky also credits much of the freedom of Ununiform to something more grounded: “This album now is the first album I've made (in years) which isn’t going to pay off some kind of debt. So it's more relaxed!” Referring to his previous albums, False Idols, Adrian Thaws, and the Skilled Mechanics project, he says “I was doing these records thinking ‘the quicker I do this album, the quicker I pay off the tax people.’ So Ununiform has been very chilled out. Now, I own the label, I pay for everything myself. I'm a truly independent artist. Now I do what I want. Freedom is a beautiful thing.”
