Being in a time When We believe We are free and in control of everything, however, just a few thousand kilometers away, the future of all humanity rests in the insane hands of a few, forcing us to live in a state of latent war. MECANICALIBRE is a 12-piece "cyberpunk-latino” instrumental story that almost wordlessly seeks to describe the horrors of a possible thermonuclear war and its devastating consequences for both humanity and nature. Divided into 3 parts: the war context, the explosion and the mutation of life from chaos, MECANICALIBRE explores sounds that are born from the organic textures of a jazz band merging into noise, ambient and electronics over abstract and intricate rhythms inspired by Latin-American percussion.
