It's been a long year and I finished up work for 2017 today. 
After (a few)soothing beverages decided to pull out only records from the old French FNAC label and pull together a tribute of one of the most innovative electronic music labels from the early/mid 90's. Yes the FNAC label started well before that and covered many other genres however it did capture a beautiful and very distinct melodic techno sound awash with 303 basslines that is timeless to this day.
This is a 100% one take vinyl mix and is certainly not a technical masterpiece. I wanted to capture almost the full length of most tracks and pay tribute to an amazing time for French techno that still resonates today...  These records seem to be escalating in value and don't look like seeing a repress so I hope you enjoy some of them all in one place...
Includes tracks from Deepside, Modus Vivendi, Laurent Garnier, Choice, Soofle, Deep Contest and Feedback amongst others.

Anthony "Shake" Shakir is a rare kind of Detroit Techno living legend - he is an authentic iconoclast. He co-wrote "I Believe" with Octave One for Transmat, was the first Detroit artist to work with breakbeats for his "5% Solution" record for Metroplex / Interface, is on the 1988 Virgin Detroit Techno album, has released on KMS and its subsidiaries, edited the early Carl Craig tunes Psyche "Elements" and BFC "Galaxy" for Transmat and Fragile respectively, won The Electrifyin' Mojo's mix contest "The Mixodrome" while still in high school, and taught Claude Young to DJ before they formed a label called Frictional that Shake still helms. At our March 17, 2018 party "Midwest Freaks" where we celebrated some of the Midwest's finest iconoclasts, Shake delivered a blistering ode to all the edges and possibilities of Detroit Techno. Found this set on a old hard drive recently, and thought i should upload it. Recorded in late 2003 at a gig i did up at a venue called 'Ruby's' in Belgrave, Australia. 
Been trying to find this set for a while, as i nearly got into a fight while doing it. 
Hence the bad mix into 'Eavesdropper'....
Recorded on CDJ's and using a EFX 500.
