Sublethal Experiments

Something to show off Matt Tytel's new Helm synthesizer for Linux. Helm has the lead line, accompanied by u-he's ACE, TAL's NoizeMaker, Loomer's Aspect, and a single bass drum sample.

Helm Is Deep

I discovered the open source synthesizer Helm the other day and started playing around with this flexible modulation beast. It's in beta but you should definitely check it out. This song is a little something I came up with using a few instances of Helm v. 0.5.0. It's only Helm. No automations or external effects except for hi passes cutting out frequencies in the 20-30 Hz range on the chord and the arpeggiator tracks. Oh, I used a limiter on the master to prevent clipping.

05 Medusa on the Spliff

This was a demo track I put together while beta testing a new Propellerhead software Rack Extension - Little LFO which is described as " a semi-modular oscillator bank". I programed all the patches first and then used them exclusively to put this experimental piece of music together. All sounds are from the Little LFO. I was also beta testing the new Reason 7 software and this is the first track I've made using that software.
