Citiglow is a solo artist formerly known as Nik Lowe - With a recent name change because of the other 'Nick Lowe'. Citiglow has a band sound and is set to release debut album early Autumn 2016.

What makes a protest song? The Specials should know. First time around, back when the 70s were lurching into the 80s, they sang of racism, war, unemployment and the rough edges of urban life, and never in the same way twice. As the multiracial flagship of the 2 Tone movement, they made a political statement every time they stepped on stage. June 2021 saw the 40th anniversary of their last and greatest protest song, Ghost Town, a record that will retain its eerie power as long as there are concrete jungles, empty dancehalls and desperate spasms of violence.
 
It's fitting, then, that in 2021 the Specials are releasing Protest Songs 1924-2012, an unpredictable collection of unique takes which celebrates the long history and endless versatility of the form, from folk to post-punk, from righteous uplift to biting satire, and from Kingston to Alabama. It’s a potent reminder that there are no fixed rules to templates for a protest song. All that’s required is the combination of something that needs to be said with music that needs to be heard. “People have been using music as a vehicle for protest since time immemorial,” says bass-player Horace Panter. “Injustice is timeless.”
 
“2020 was the year of protest, wasn’t it?” says Horace. “It was in the air. The hardest part of the whole record was deciding what songs to use.” Following the musical liberation of Encore, genre was no obstacle. Each song demands a different arrangement or tone of voice. “We thought, let’s throw out the musical constraints of the Specials. There’s not a tonic suit or Fred Perry in sight. We don’t want to deny our past, because that enables us to do what we do now, but we have our own creative minds to make up.”

Alice Walker is a singer songwriter from a small town in Essex. 
Her songs are about love, and life, and dead things and live things. 
When she grows up she wants to be a mountain.

She sometimes plays with a band, called AlicebanD. The big D makes the word look symmetrical, which makes her feel balanced.

They have played in big venues and small venues and festivals and parties, and want to play at bigger places like palaces and castles..

They've actually played in a castle. 
And with Joan Armatrading. 
And with Wilko Johnson. 
and with themselves.

But not in the same room.

Since making the choice to go solo, this jazz inspired songstress has been touring her new material alongside her brilliantly formed 5 piece band. Polly has shared the stage with multi-platinum artist's, performed at countless established venues and has also graced the stages of many boutique festivals, including Cornbury Music Festival. She has appeared on line ups that have included Alanis Morissette, Mavis Staples, Jimmy Cliff and many more international artists. Her music has influences of Jazz, Rock, Soul & Roots, and in 2016 was chosen to perform in Derby, UK as a UKYA (UK Young Artist). Alongside her live performances, Polly has recorded with and had support from BBC Introducing, BBC Essex and BBC Suffolk.
Since recording 4 tracks with award winning producer Tom Donovan, Polly has travelled across the pond to perform a string of shows in California, where she found inspiration for her latest work. in 2019 polly recorded her debut Hummingbird EP at The Boathouse Studio. With big waves being made this year, Polly is set to up the ante and surprise critics and fans alike. She can be found captivating crowds across the land with her passionate vocals and one of a kind, jazz inspired songwriting.
