Jory Bice—known on stages and sound systems as dj elixir and elx—has been a fixture in the Canadian electronic music landscape for more than two decades. Splitting roots between Toronto, ON and Mission, BC, he continues to bring high-energy, genre-bending performances to clubs, festivals, and airwaves across the country.

Elixir’s journey began in the late ‘90s, quickly earning him residencies and main-stage slots with legendary Toronto promoters including Hullabaloo and Destiny Productions, as well as repeated appearances at the world-renowned World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF). His touring history spans Canada and the U.S., sharing stages with icons such as Paul Oakenfold, Binary Finary, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Chris Liberator, M-Zone, and many others.

In 2025, elixir was awarded Best Electronic Artist at the Fraser Valley Music Awards, marking a standout milestone in an already storied career.

Under his production alias elx, he has continued to push forward with a prolific run of releases. The full-length 14-track album “Groove Echoes” (Ear to Brain) showcased his range in techno, breaks, progressive, trance, UK bass, and heavy low-end hybrids. He followed this with the “Feed the Pepys” EP on Rapid Fire Records, as well as upcoming features on B-Nasty Records.

Never confined to a single lane, elixir’s sound merges breaks, techno, trance, progressive, electro, UK bass, trap, heavy bass hybrids, drum & bass, and half-time DnB—all delivered with his trademark tight mixing, dynamic builds, and instinctive crowd-driving energy. Whether he’s behind festival decks or crafting late-night studio creations, elixir continues to evolve while staying true to the raw, eclectic, electrifying spirit he’s known for.

Everything But Ordinary (this represents me, my personality, my character, what i represent and stand for) 

I am everthing but ordinary
 3.14 represents the Phi ratio.  The 2nd cousin of Fibonacci.   
Together I think EBO3.14 is perfect cause it also sounds like some robot or even a synth or drum machine. 
Which suits me perfectly.   

Everything in nature, the physical world as we currently know it.  Can be understood, quantified and explained by using mathematics.   The one and only TRUTH in this world.  Math can't lie.  
I was never really good with math, only music.  Music is all about fractions.  Music is how we can hear math.  

Music is nothing without sounds.  
Sounds are nothing without Ears to hear them.

Everything about the physical world, can be broken down to energy and electricity.  Sounds, and Colors communicate information to our brains.

Emotions, Feelings, Thoughts and Dreams.
We can use sounds and music to control our states of mind.
 
I am a serious audio nerd.  I spent half my life in my room, teaching myself how to manipulate and create my own sounds.  

I am a true cyberpunk. 

In this world, we born to lose, to suffer, to be overburdened by worries and stress.  

As an artist.   
My mission on this earth, is to help people find peace of mind. 
Forget about all the Bullshit in their lives.   
And just get lost and immersed in my sound.  

I am classically trained multi-instrumentalist. 
I can play the real and i can work the digital tech.

With the advent of electronic music and the tools used to create it.
Have become the instruments of the future.

Using synth technology.  It's possible to feed our brains with frequencies our minds have never heard before.
