Marco Gallerani - Live at Piccolo Ronin

As he prepares for a new album in 2024, Gallo teases us with his ‘Hidden Inside EP’ on Hell Yeah. This new outing comes not long after his Tropical Hinterhof Remix of Calm's sublime 'I Love You'.

At the vanguard of the nu-breed Balearic movement, Gallo is a mainstay. Part of the Balearic Gabba Sound System crew, and Buena Onda resident, he has an uplifting sound that has come out mostly on Hell Yeah but has also had music selected for compilations that include Cafe del Mar and Colleen’ Cosmo’ Murphy's Balearic Breakfast. The Berlin-based artist is currently working on his debut long player but first shares with the world these four enchanting cuts. 

'Life on Preset' is a gorgeous downbeat groove embellished with majestic keys that twinkle while gentle chords melt the heart. 'The Last Bud (Beat mix)' slows down further with dusty trip-hop breaks overlaid with pulsing synths to have you gazing off into the distance, lost in a hazy late-night reverie.  Here Gallo showcases his mastery of dreamy, ambient synth work as he suspends you amongst heavenly rays of light and bright white fluffy clouds on 'Hidden Inside'.  Closing down the EP the hazy lazy piano house grooves of 'That Moment' conveys feelings of pure blissed out joy and peacefulness.

Michele Mininni's debut album Pop Archetypes continues to serve up gold for a new Gallo remix on Hell Yeah following Keita Sano's take on 'Urban Voodoo'.

This new release features the original single 'Carousel Of Tears' which is a shimmering, immersive soundscape with dreamy pads and the most subtle of rhythms. Then comes a remix from Gallo. His Tropical Hinterhof mix is a nine-minute synth odyssey that will work as well by a crackling fire as it will a gorgeous sunset.

This is another fresh perspective on Michele Mininni's fine original.

Dj Müll bids farewell to summer with some exciting new releases and a guest who fully embodies the Spirito Balearico: Gallo, pillar of the Hell Yeah label, member of the Balearic Gabba Sound System crew and resident of Buena Onda. In his mix, he wanted to recreate that feeling of floating on the border between day and night, suspended between warmth and mystery.

Bio: "Intricate grooves, dreamy textures, playful whimsical bounce. Over the course of an electronic music obsession more than 20 years strong, Mark Slee has evolved a deep musical style that reflects a unique personality, blending intuition and introspection with a methodical approach to production and curation.

Fully committed to digging the troves of modern dance music, Slee aims to uncover releases that stand out. His monthly mix show on Proton Radio showcases his discoveries, with over 100 mixes presented in the past decade. In 2016, Slee joined forces with musical partner Atish to form the label Manjumasi. Debuting with his own Nocturne Belle EP, Manjumasi celebrates quirky dance music that explores new territory without forgetting the dance floor. Beyond Manjumasi, Slee's original productions and remixes have been released on such imprints as Cityfox, Seven Villas, Lost Diaries, Cosmic Society, Magician On Duty, Nugget, Where the Heart Is, Proton Music, and more. In addition to regular appearances on his San Francisco home turf, Slee's style has earned him DJ sets in notable locales, such as Kater Blau and Sisyphos in Berlin, Cityfox in New York, and Robot Heart.

Since 2016 Slee has also been developing immersive, spatial audio-visual production tools for systems of up to 32 channels via Envelop. Notable live performances with Envelop include MUTEK.SF and FORM Arcosanti."

It's been about a year, the time felt right to make another Slinky mix. For those unfamiliar, this is a series of mixes I do occasionally, where tracks are intentionally stretched and slowed down. Transitions and overlaps are purposefully drawn out, the way these tracks slowly wind together becomes a point of focus, as opposed to an invisible, smooth transition. This mix evokes the passage of time, which has needless to say felt quite strange this year.
