Purple Disco Machine is just about to release his outstanding EP on Tube & Berger and Julie Sikora's Kittball Records. Previously PDM has been at the top of the Beatport charts with his track 'My House' being #1 in the Deep House charts. 

The concept behind the EP is Purple Disco Machine’s contribution to the burgeoning piano house revival that is t1earing up clubs all over the world. By highlighting the piano riff PDM joins the likes of Dusky, Doorly & Shadowchild, MK and Bicep and pays tribute to a classic House sound that has inspired him since he started checking out the scene back in the 1990s.

‘Where We Belong’ kicks the EP off in suitable style encompassing a combination of clear-cut percussive beats, a thick funky bassline, muted disco guitar riffs, warm piano chords and an infectious female vocal line from House diva Alex Mills which you’ll be singing all night and day – a sure-fire future classic!

The EP, named 'Purple Pianos' is out on Febuary 17th.

OLDERIC from Venice makes his debut on Compost Black with this magnificent Alma EP. A strong peak-time package, rounded off by lush remixes by Christian Prommer and Musumeci.
Vinyl collector, producer and resident DJ of CIRQ (one of the most influent underground club in Italy) Olderic is the man behind this fascinating EP 'Alma'. The A side is opened by the title track, which is nothing less than a banger built on purpose to create magic and panic on the dance floor. The dramatic melody break will take you on a journey, the gentle but effective bass and rhythmic patterns combination will shake your senses bringing you back to reality. On the same side Alma receive first class remix treatment by the drum master Christian Prommer who turns the original into a single breath race thanks to an irresistible rhythmical sequence arranged around the anthemic layers of the song. On the B side there is space for the intriguing interlaces and pulsating beats of 'Oasis', a luscious track with a sensual and misterious atmosphere that find emphasis on the remix by Engrave Ltd head Musumeci, who adds his own combination of twisted arpeggios and an outrageous bass line. On top of this already oversized bunch of tunes you will find an extra Christian Prommer Stripped Remix of 'Alma' digitally exclusive. Irish techno, electro and electronica producer Chymera makes his debut here on Canadian
label My Favourite Robot Records with this superb 4 track EP.

Before now the talented craftsman has released on labels like Ovum, Kompakt and
Connaisseur and has been active for a decade. His sound is filmic and patient, features
plenty of great synth work and therefore fits in perfectly with the MFR sound.

Up first is 'Other Worlds', a serene cut with proud chords and percolating drums down
below. Slivery and reflective, shiny and golden, it's a lush way to start. 'Vertigo' is then a
more direct cut with pixelated chord stabs, arpeggiated bass and a slick sense of groove
that carries us well into the future.

On the flip, 'Inner Worlds' pairs things back to a more insular deep house groove. Sombre
chords sway back and forth as hiccuping snares roll over rubbery drums. There is mystery
and intrigue in the little pads that float about and the whole thing has a soothing effect on
mind, body and soul. Lastly, 'Erku' is the deepest of the lot, where bubbling drums and
synths unravel in an eerie and spacious sound world. Stuttering drums eventually arrive to
kick start things and the whole thing is soft focus and perfectly cosmic.

Once more here MFR have unearthed an artful producer who can do so much more than
just lay down a track - instead he injects a true sense of musicality into his work as
displayed on this standout EP.
