DEFTEST is an East Coast Modern/Pop/Rock/Alternative/Indie Group Based out of Moncton, N.B. Canada. Formed in March 2016.

Recently we spent 9 weeks in the top 20 charts on BOFM 90.7 peaking at #5 for 5 weeks. We were the Producers Pick August 2016 for the East Coast Music Countdown, a nationally-syndicated radio program that features the top ten hottest songs from Atlantic Canadian artists.  Also playing on K94.5 in Moncton, iHeart Radio, Spotify, CHMA 106.9, and CBC Radio3.

DEFTEST Vocalist/Guitarist Andrew Arsenault is also an independent artist and production engineer.  He toured Western Canada with a trio called “Still Within”.  Fronting the band on Bass and Lead Vocals. After touring on the album which sold over a thousand copies within a few months on the road, he returned to Edmonton AB to also join the “Dryland Band” and played stages, festivals and venues like Boonstock, Open Sky festival, Edmonton Rockfest, Alberta’s Own, Beerfest, Citadel Theatre, Dow Center, and Rexall Place Stadium, sharing stages with bands like Finger Eleven, Ian Thornley, Xavier Rudd, George Canyon, CCR, and Trooper.

DEFTEST Bassist/Vocalist Pierce Calvin McAllister comes from a musical family of very successful professional and semi-pro musicians coming from both sides of the family tree.  He penned the song for the winning NB Safe Grad Video and has turned his focus to a series of acoustic tunes.  He is a very capable drummer and multi-instrumentalist songwriter with nearly 4000 song plays from his originals on Reverb Nation. Previously Lead Vocalist and Guitarist for the “Profound Sound”.  Pierce is the newest member of DEFTEST and completes the band with his unique talents.

DEFTEST Drummer John-Allan Belliveau is a second generation drummer inspired by his father.  Playing drums for over 25 years, he has made guest appearances as a session drummer.  Andrew and John have performed together originally in the late 1990’s with a band called “Extrapolation”.

These artists are no strangers to the Canadian music scene. Now digging their way up from the grass roots to resurface as the up and coming sound known as DEFTEST.

Musician, Songwriter, Vocalist - Open for collabs

Jamie R Hawkins is an Award Winning Singer Songwriter whose songs have won him critical acclaim in the UK and around the world - he has been described as "a powerful mixture of storyteller, philosopher and poet", his lyrics as "poignant and witty" and his performances, "emotive and captivating”.

His song 'Bloody Good Xmas' won the acoustic/folk category in the 2011 UK Songwriting Contest and went on to achieve a #2 position in the Amazon download charts. He has since gone from strength to strength, forging for himself a dedicated and growing fan-base in the U.K.  With three EPs in the bag and a string of single releases, Jamie is a singer songwriter you don’t want to miss.
In March 2016 he released his second EP, ‘Capacity To Change’ to critical acclaim and embarked upon his first solo European Tour.  
2017 saw the release of his third EP, ’The Bitter End’ and the completion of a third European tour. His successes overseas secured him more future tour dates with his band, ‘The Unshakeables’, and a recording deal with independent Swiss label, Funk Street Records - heir debut EP, ‘Planets’, was released in November 2018 and has since received almost daily national airplay in Switzerland
With a UK full length album in the works and a string of single releases planned for 2019, it’s looking to be another great year for Jamie…
