Of all the crap recordings I’ve ever done, which is a lot, this is truly one of my favorites that I will personally keep until I die. It’s one of those secret weapon ones yaknow. Especially if I’m NOT so dehydrated that I can’t whistle at the right spots XD

She bares everything yet discloses nothing.
She drives us all; never consulting, she commandeers our moment here.
Give her a second chance and she’s gone. 
Never accepting she’s wrong, she decides to wait and hear the end of the song, a quick glance to see if it’s too late.
And so I sit and wait and always linger for as long as I can. Today it’s somehow enough to rough yet another storm-gone-wrong. It’s enough to see her pretend to see herself for what she really is and trick this girl I love to hate. The girl that makes me stop and wait.
I used to place her above what she arrogantly resists, her fate. Because we all know that’s just how this miss is. Never on time, always late, she found the strength to push and make another round, without spraying her fake “for god’s sakes”. 

The drifting, infectious muse that makes a deafening sound on their deaf ears (she never makes a sound), 
Paralysis sears like mace, I’m bound. 
And now, somehow, I’ve wound up shedding the tears I saved for my fear of a sound I never thought I’d get to hear.
Hitting the drop off, I’m finally able to find air and breathe. I glimpse the gem yall consider rare and make sure I can see, to make sure I stop and stare. 
Lying about believing that you can comfortably not care, I just stop and stare.

I know babe, it ain’t fair. But sometimes, you have to care. That’s why I always stop and stare.
You act like you know despair, but I know it’s only because you’re done with these affairs. 
It’s my turn to make your jaw drop. I want you to stop. I want you to forget why I stopped. 
I’m here because I can’t weather this storm alone. You keep me sane by letting me wait deaf, dumb, blind, stoned and maimed. Plain and deranged, let’s drop the shroud that muffles our errors and deceit.
Let’s walk and talk and stare and stop this silly and redundant game and finally forget about the pain. 

Let your eyes flick and hips shake, let your jaw jump as I tongue your cheek. 
As you lick your lips and fake along with the song, I’ll skip the few stops to the top of the world to declare that something that makes us tick also makes us sick. 
Who knows it, I don’t care, but meet me at the start and I’ll stop and take care of you this time.

The thing that did the trick was how we started and again it brings us back to the beginning, inching us closer to the disclosure of our fears and tricks and wrongs.
We stop and hum along with what we wrongly first thought was a complex song. 
Now it’s just a comfortable care and a gaze that looks like the sound of your breath on my bare me. 
I can’t help but stop and stare at the sound. That simple sound, that simple sound. 
Let’s do it one more time, one more round. 
Let me hear you sing our sound.
