Highest quality recording of 'International karate', done on my favourite sidchip (6581 R3 0184). This chip has been selected from a batch of 50 to sound like the one in my old C=128 that went broken. As everyone remembers these tunes a bit differently, I cannot tell if this sounds right or if it is how Hubbard intended it to sound, but i think it comes pretty close. Actual feedback from Rob, on facebook Hubbard fanpage, is :'sounds damm close to my vague recollection of the naff iffy low pass filters' - Please download the .WAV file, soundcloud streaming does terrible things to chiptunes. Direct from MOS6581 recording with dedicated output circuitry, no mastering, no EQ, no editing (only fadeout). Thx to dustlayer.com for the C64 pic.

Another track for Project M, this one's for the new Wario Land stage in 3.6.  I really wanted to embrace that "Nintendo" sound, and tried to craft it to fit alongside the AMAZING music in some of the newer Wario Land games (seriously, check out the soundtrack for Shake It) as well as hearken to the series' roots on the Gameboy.  I also tried to take into account the stage and the character, making it a little bit of a few things - badass, goofy, unique, and mischievous.  That's a LOT of marks to hit, but hopefully I made a suitable track and did the character justice!

"Sequence Breaker is my personal love letter to the Metroid series, encapsulating the wonderment inspired by the striking beauty of the games' environments and introspective storytelling.  The soundscapes in each track were chosen-- and often created from scratch-- to heavily emulate the music from Metroid Prime, my favorite game in the series, while keeping each piece unique to me as a composer.  Every melody, chord progression, and percussive hit was crafted with a deep love, and I truly hope you enjoy this impassioned tribute to an amazing series as much as I enjoyed creating it! 

Each original composition was inspired by specific pieces, moments, environments, or characters in the Metroid series.  Some are fairly overt, others less so.  Since creating a consistent and enveloping atmosphere is so crucial to the series' emotional conveyance, each track was designed with the same sense of sentient world-building.  My goal was to enable the listener to create their own narrative as the album progresses, walking through familiar worlds or exploring new ones in their mind's eye. 

Above all else, this release is a gift to Metroid fans everywhere, including myself.  Please enjoy the first installment of what will assuredly be an ongoing project, with many more releases in the future!"
