Your average Chicago juke song consists of one, maybe two lines of lyrics repeated over and over and chopped to oblivion. We love it all but it took the king of nordic juke, Slick Shoota, to take things to the next level with with "F Dat." As the follow release to his Jeffree's debut, Slick brought in Purple to float over this smooth holodeck-sounding juke beat. The story of a lover confused with her crush? We've all been there, F Dat!!!! The tune has been killing it all over the juke dance floors and so it's time to take it even further. To add to the release in perfect fashion, Djemba Djemba and Hoodboi have teamed up to bring the world some next level Miami bass house on the remix. Straight madness is the result with a track that sounds like something that got left off the Space Jam Soundtrack. As times seem to get rougher and tougher in political terms in the urban jungles of the world, conscious music and cultural activism in general gain in importance. Message music to uplift the people is essential in society.
On this mission, Lion's Den has teamed up with the upcoming producer Blue Hill outta Athens, Greece.
A heavy riddim, somewhere between jungle and dub, outta his mixing lab was given to the mighty Lutan Fyah from Jamaica to create a powerful anthem, calling for action in times of political turmoil - the youths need to "Get Out" of their mental and physical state of badness.
Another vocal on the same riddim was recorded with the Lion's Den MCs Kali Green and konTa outta Berlin, Germany. This wicked combination hits with the same amount of lyrical fire - this time in english and german - and adds to the rebellious mood. A call to "Start A Revolution" and to fight the system full of trickery, downpression and exploitation.
But this is only half of the musical story to be told…
Lutan Fyah's piercing voice and melodies were given to five producers to come up with three strong remixes inna different style: For the first one the US dubstep pioneer Roommate joined forces with the head of the Lion's Den, Ras Lion outta Berlin, Germany, to mix it up inna pumping dub / steppaz fashion. The second remix leaves no doubt about message music reaching the clubs - no matter if 'uptown' or 'downtown': A heavy banger somewhere on the jungle tip, with a west coast breeze, by a brand new collaboration project between US bass music legends Noah D and No Thing (together with Roommate he forms Babylon System) called Lost City JNGL. Last but not least, the third one was done by the great jungle producer FLeCk outta Athens, Greece, and hits hard with some break madness and extra deep bass.

The whole EP was transferred to 1/2inch Tape for extra analogue warmth, mastered with care and pressed on high quality limited and hand-numbered 180g vinyl by Star Delta / Delta Disc, UK. It is also digitally available.

Para One and Tacteel - Rome

Muti Music is pleased to announce the release of the 5th installment of remix EPs from the Sizzla album Born A King, which we released in May of last year. The album produced by Mista Savona has received critical acclaim and charted in the top 20 of iTunes Reggae and was voted #1 Reggae album of the year (ZonaReggae), Cornel Campbell & Burro Banton version ‘Pressure’ and Burro Banton’s ‘Bad Like Mi’ were in top 50 singles of the year (United Reggae). Reggaemani and United Reggae also both had the album in their 2014 top 50,  many of the remixes have already charted highly on Beatport, been listed as a Top Picks on UKF, received rave reviews in DJ Mag and had the likes of David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan and Toddla T dropping the originals and remixes on their BBC radio shows.
Cold War features instrumental and acoustic versions, vocal reworks by Prince Alla and Bugle and the electronic remix lineup features Om Unit who creates a bouncy homage to steppers riddims, Empress Sheva with Mista Savona take the steppers concept furthers with a dance floor pleasing take, Matt The Alien and HNGVR both push concepts of Drum & Bass variations and then Sukh Knight gives us an epic Dubstep remix and takes it into an edgy and deep direction and 3rdeye pushes it to the deepest level of dub possible in Dubstep.

To give some background on this project, whilst on tour in Australia we met Mista Savona, a Melbourne based producer who had just returned from Jamaica with a bag of new riddims and an almost-completed album with legendary reggae artist Sizzla. We listened to the tunes and loved the fresh new sounds and very positive feel of the album, with its uplifting messages and inspired vocal performances. Muti Music has been releasing a series of Remix EP's based around the album's May 2014 release, featuring producers at the leading edge of dance music globally. These have been receiving rave reviews across the Blogosphere, play on BBC, XFM, Sirius and numerous other internet and FM stations, as well as reviews in high profile magazines like DJMAG.
