"Luminous Frames" was recorded over a timespan of three years. I finished the project early 2014 by recording "Volumetric Shadows", and I am both happy and honoured to have been working with Ecstatic Recordings to release the limited 90 cassettes early 2015.

"Ecstatic is proud to welcome new signing Mattheis to the label. Having already gained many fans for his work on the Clone affiliated Nous'Klaer label, Mattheis now graduates to his first full length, entitled 'Luminous Frames’. 

Expanding on the promise of his earlier work, his hallucinogenic arpeggio explorations call to mind the synth driven kosmiche sounds of late 70s and early 80s Germany, this Klaus Schulze, Cluster, Harald Grosskopf and Manuel Gottsching as well as contemporaries James Holden and Steve Moore. ‘Luminous Frames’  takes the listener on an ethereal drift through five masterfully constructed soundscapes of billowing synth drones and enveloping sequences. 

- White cassette with 12-panel J-card newsprint paper. Limited to 50 copies. SOLD OUT!!

Der neue JedenTagEinSet Podcast kommt vom Wahlberliner René Bourgeois. Aufgewachsen in Dresden, lauschte der Musikästhet bereits damals den Geheimnissen von 16Bit, Art of Noise, Off oder Yello. Nach dem Umzug nach Berlin war seine Schallplatten- und Kasettensammlung sein größtes Hab und Gut und nach der Wiedervereinigung besuchte er die ersten Berliner Clubs. Schnell fand er sich selbst an den Plattenspielern wieder, sammelte wervolle Erfahrungen und schloss viele langlebige Freundschaften, wie zum Beispiel mit Sascha Braemer. Zusammen mit ihm oder seinem Schulfreund Daniel Steinberg realisierten Rene Bourgeois viele gemeinsame Projekte.

In seiner Podcastausgabe mischt er starke Technotracks, bei denen man sofort die Lust verspürt, in den nächsten Club zu fahren und zu feiern. Viel Spaß damit!

Hello, I’m launching a new site dedicated to provide you with new music that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. There will be 6 parts, and every one of them will be free for members of the site.

This first track, called Arc, was one of my first experiments with some new analogue synths recently - the Moog Minituar, and the Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 08. I wanted to make something smooth and melodic which would work for my club sets, and would be mixable, but nothing too peak time intense, something a little softer. I think the heart of the track really all came down to squeesing the main riff with those lovely analogue filters!

Kindred Phenomena marks @Mattheis’ debut album. After two cosmic EPs on Nous’klaer and a mini-album on tape for Ecstatic Recordings, he now returns to Nous’klaer for his first full story. An album shaped for every occasion: driving from the city to the island, dancing in the living room, or raving at sunset.

On Kindred Phenomena Mattheis picks up where he left off: ‘Swell’ serves as another episode of the prisms, the modular synth excursion of ‘Bit Fragments’ pushes his arpeggiator solos a step further, and album standout ‘Ben_m’ provides his most beautiful dance of melodies yet. The album consists of eight tracks and comes as a double 12 inch for deejay convenience; and for the ultimate experience: go see Mattheis perform his album live on the road.

One of the first summerhouse demos from late 2009 that started Arabian Horse.  This idea is the first glimpse of the track Over.  I guess the next day we recorded the first draft of Daniels vocal.  Much later the the track was finished with changed cord arrangement in the chorus.
