Releasing my debut album has been one of my most meaningful life-experiences, and apart from the times playing my livesets, I seem to never have found a right moment to share it personally with the world. Today it has been exactly one year since the release-date, so this should be a good moment.

"Kindred Phenomena marks Mattheis' debut album. After two cosmic EPs on Nous'klaer and a mini-album on tape for Ecstatic Recordings, he now returns to Nous'klaer for his first full story. An album shaped for every occasion: driving from the city to the island, dancing in the living room, or raving at sunset. On Kindred Phenomena Mattheis picks up where he left off: 'Swell' serves as another episode of the prisms, the modular synth excursion of 'Bit Fragments' pushes his arpeggiator solos a step further, and album standout 'Ben_M' provides his most beautiful dance of melodies yet. The album consists of eight tracks and comes as a double 12 inch for deejay convenience; and for the ultimate experience: go see Mattheis perform his album live on the road."

The difficulty with language is that it can be hard to articulate, decipher and change. What is said cannot be erased and taken back, it stands firm in the passage of time for a life to come. This is why such holy books have paved the way across the ages, they cannot be taken back. Nowadays it is all about a turn of phrase, depicting what may come next and rephrasing that which was mistaken. Perhaps in the future we will learn better, and take our time. 

Teniente Castillo is set to release a new EP on Playpal Music. Operating out of Madrid he creates tripped out electronic music rife with drive and bass. He is remixed by Undo.

On Latino Body Music Vol II Sano continues to explore his musical heritage connecting the dots between tradition and news. For this record he picks up the “Champeta” style that had its origin in the streets of Colombia. The mix of repetitive rhythm patterns and chants performed by local legends like Hernando Hernandez is an integral part of the huge soundsytem culture that takes place in the streets of Cartagena. It is so good to see the Cómeme's resident back on the road with this excellent release!
