Ecstatic is proud to welcome new signing Mattheis to the label. Having already gained many fans for his work on the Clone affiliated Nous'Klaer label, Mattheis now graduates to his first full length, entitled 'Luminous Frames’. 

Expanding on the promise of his earlier work, his hallucinogenic arpeggio explorations call to mind the synth driven kosmiche sounds of late 70s and early 80s Germany, this Klaus Schulze, Cluster, Harald Grosskopf and Manuel Gottsching as well as contemporaries James Holden and Steve Moore. ‘Luminous Frames’  takes the listener on an ethereal drift through five masterfully constructed soundscapes of billowing synth drones and enveloping sequences.

I can still remember cycling our way home after a night pubbing with Sjoerd in the summer of 2013, right after we listened to LS together for the very first time. We knew this had to be the next Nous'klaer. Late 2014 I completed this record by finishing 1001.

Kindred Phenomena marks @Mattheis’ debut album. After two cosmic EPs on Nous’klaer and a mini-album on tape for Ecstatic Recordings, he now returns to Nous’klaer for his first full story. An album shaped for every occasion: driving from the city to the island, dancing in the living room, or raving at sunset.

On Kindred Phenomena Mattheis picks up where he left off: ‘Swell’ serves as another episode of the prisms, the modular synth excursion of ‘Bit Fragments’ pushes his arpeggiator solos a step further, and album standout ‘Ben_m’ provides his most beautiful dance of melodies yet. The album consists of eight tracks and comes as a double 12 inch for deejay convenience; and for the ultimate experience: go see Mattheis perform his album live on the road.

Dogmatik's Alex Arnout makes a stellar return to highly promising Turquoise Blue label this September with the 'Science Friction' EP.
Turquoise Blue recently released the undeniably on point 'Sound-Byte' EP by Alex Arnout, which garnered huge support from the likes of Huxley, Clive Henry, Ryan Crosson, Damian Lazarus and Kate Simko. The next offering for your ears from NastyFunk Records comes from one of the years most exciting underground artists; the Italian Raffa FL. This extended play provides 4 individual tracks that simply refuse to be categorised and results in a fusing of genres with soldering precision.  NF005; The Harlot's House EP, is one you'll want to hear again and again.

The title track is a heavily influenced piece, featuring the sublime vocals of indie band, 'The Wows', whose poignant vocals replicate the hazy days of Madchester, whilst the dark baseline and housey rhythms fill the air. The remixes take a life of their own too. http://soundcloud.com/max-chapman's viewpoint is an outstanding reflection of the original, which succeeds in taking the mood to an even darker, nastier place, whilst No http://soundcloud.com/nacsmusic continue the journey, dropping the bass as low as can go, and combing it with with a contradicting uber-sleazy beat and an evocative string selection.

The final piece of music on the selection is also principally perfect in what it sets out to achieve; 'No Matter What' being simply a testament to the routes of deep house, and says to all listening, "This Is House Music."

He has made his debut on the Dutch Manual Music label last year with the release of his ‘Marioneta’ single, shortly followed by a remix for Qbical and more recently ‘Illumine’, the first single from his debut album ‘Metamorphosis’.

As a key player in today’s dance music world, his music can not be pigeonholed in just one genre. This becomes evident with his collaborations and remixes involving artists such as Underworld, Sasha, Nick Warren, Max Cooper, Nick Muir, D-Nox & Beckers, Jeff Bennett, Dousk, Eelke Kleijn, Quivver and many others.

On ‘Metamorphosis’ Logiztik Sounds explores the boundaries of melodic techno with a progressive twist, alternated with a couple of delightful downtempo moments of relative ease, only to switch back full force to something more boombastic and ‘in your face’ every now and then. It is neither a new computer game, nor a novelist - but most certainly the tightest live formation that Jazz & Milk has to offer to date! GTA Hoffmann sips out of your ear, sways your hips and bypasses the vessels of your awareness, 120 times per minute. Three musicians, experienced in diverse and manifold musical areas, play their own and unique creation of live dance music.

Beni Brachtel, aka Bartellow (guitar), Lukas Rabe (keys) and Gabriel Hahn (drums) operate their instruments as armatures of turning knobs, sliders and effect pedals and pave their way through earthy R'n'B grooves, wooden house and analogue elevator-minimalism. As improvisers and composers they love to play with shapes, moods and all types of sounds. The result is pure energy, which inspires deep listening, immersion and dancing.

What appears to be an artificially produced electronica record is in fact the live sound of a trio, which levitates through space and time - far away from any musical categorization - while sonically complementing and reorganizing earthly pulse.
