The cultural landscape — the foundation of our city — is more endangered than ever.
Certain economic sectors, such as hairdressing salons and shops, are allowed to operate subject to pandemic containment measures. However, alternative models for reactivating the city’s cultural life remain largely unconsidered on the part of politicians. Those working in the arts and cultural scene continue to fear for their very existence.

Culture is so much more than just an economic factor. This goes beyond even the financial fates of individually affected artists. Art is a means of reflection and shapes creative discourse which can help the individual to position themselves in the midst of society. Times of crisis demand new forms of togetherness, as people are exposed to unprecedented conditions. It is all the more important to maintain culture as a moral and reflective medium — culture can show us a way through the mental weight of the pandemic, and can help us process this strange period in our history.

Even though it was proven through numerous test events last year that corona-compliant hygiene concepts and responsible behaviour are possible in the context of open air events, these functional concepts are currently prohibited by the implementation of the ‘Infection Protection Act’.
These and other legislative actions — where the dire situation of the creative scene is completely disregarded — do not comply with the results of the Society for Aerosol Research. This is clarified in its statement regarding the federal emergency brake, which points out that private meetings in closed areas are a primary source of new infections.

With open-air events with controlled outdoor frameworks, preventative measures like rapid testing and hygiene concepts can balance against the inherent risk factors. At the same time, these events would create income and effective alternatives for the struggling cultural industry.
Therefore, we call for the revitalisation of cultural life through:
The release of public space for open-air cultural events.
The establishment of clear health concepts to ensure pandemic-compatible event formats.

Release BR130 is for the Spanish Dj/Producer AZYK. This 4-track EP is really a mix between different styles of Techno. It's a nice blend of raw, industrial, hard but also some Trance influences are hearable in the tracks. 

Bio:
Co-owner of the label and sessions of Darkblood Label, together with his partner L.D.U. AZYK begins its journey in the world of electronics in 2006. He forms the duo "Red Sense", a Trance influenced duo that's maintained in its productions.

In his next stage he moved to Madrid and participated in the sessions of Cabra Negra, Pirandello, Yasta, Moonrise and Moroder.

Nascida em Campinas/SP, Gabriela Mariano iniciou sua carreira profissional em 2001, e ao longo dos anos já experimentou diversas maneiras de apresentar Techno durante suas apresentações. No Brasil, já foi residente em clubes lendários como "A Lôca" (São Paulo), Lov.e (São Paulo), Kraft (Campinas), e já se apresentou por toda a Europa e América Latina. Um de seus projetos mais famosos é o lendário 'Motormorfoses', um complexo live act composto de vários synths, máquina de samples, máquina de efeitos e nenhum computador.

@gabakasheefit atualmente é residente na festa @bicuda-maculata. Em seus sets ela busca o equilíbrio perfeito entre luz e sombra, misturando Techno, Electro, Breaks, em uma proposta sonora inspirada nos paradoxos da vida.

Para este episódio do FATIA a Sheefit preparou uma seleção de músicas que a marcaram desde a sua infância. Com uns 10 anos de idade ela gravava muitas fitas k7 com suas músicas favoritas e suas primeiras experiências como dj foram em festinhas na casa dos amiguinhos, os famosos "bailinhos". Ela trouxe algumas das músicas que a fizeram pirar nessa fase até os dias atuais. Sheefit sempre gostou mais de música eletrônica em geral mas quis apresentar todas as músicas que a marcaram além do Techno.

B.Riley is now unveiling his brand new imprint label, CMND CTRL which will be dedicated to musical expression, immersion, technology and innovation. This first release, is a voyage back into the old school 90’s techno sound that B.Riley was first introduced to and inspired by.

Ghostform is a wonderful track that is loaded with great percussions and acid undertones that would feel right at home in a 90’s warehouse but still feels very modern

Matthew Fit remains inspired by his memories of I-94, the highway connecting Detroit and Chicago where he came of age at raves and warehouse parties surrounding Kalamazoo. Matthew's sets sew the past and future together with the energy only a dyed-in-the-wool Midwesterner can bring. Through his association with New City Movement, and his work in the community, he has helped bring his new home of Salt Lake City closer to the house and techno sounds he holds dear. 

Matthew loves the outdoors, almost as much as playing alongside DJs like Jason Kendig, Titonton Duvante, Mike Servito, Exos and Eris Drew. An avid record collector, educator and mentor, Matthew Fit's passion for the scene and its sounds are unmatched.
