Born in Baltimore in 1989, Malik Carter, known by his stage name Lilrickcism, (PRONOUNCED LYRICISM) is an American underground Hip-Hop artist. Lilrickcism was born and raised in Baltimore and at the age of 29, he is blessed to still be alive and making music today. 

As Lilrickcism started to grow as an artist, he wanted a name change, something creative and not the same as everyone else coming up. The name Lilrickcism came from being his Father’s sidekick. His Father was Big Rick & he was Lil Rick. The name Lilrickcism is pronounced like word Lyricism which means: An artist's expression of emotion in an imaginative and beautiful way: the quality of being lyrical. Lilrickcism grew up battle rapping on the street, in school and at parties to get his name known. 

Throughout the hundreds of songs and countless Mixtapes that he has created by himself, you can hear him grow from a strictly Hip-Hop artist to a Pop/Hip-Hop artist with the intent to cater to the rest of the world, not just the streets.

Some of the artist's that influenced Lilrickcism are: Bone Thugs & Harmony, 2pac, Nas, Eminem & Biggie.
