We are back for Volume 165 of SRS, and we welcome a midwest legend for our next feature.  Kwesi Davidson aka DJ Q.  

Originally from Milwaukee, Q spent many years honing his craft in the house music mecca of San Francisco, playing packed parties with legends of the game like Jesse Saunders and Gene Hunt, he relocated to Austin Texas in 2010 and has been busy spreading the gospel of the true house sound across the midwest.  He is considered a legend in the Austin area for his technical talents and vast knowledge of music.

Ghetto Paillettes (previously known as Jean Jacques aka 1980) is a French producer established in Vienna, Austria. He worked with labels like HSM, MoodyHouse and Ondulé to name but a few 

In his spare time when not producing, he likes to blend house music behind the decks.  His influences are from mostly jazz, soul, funk & disco and produces also Hip-hop.

HI! I've been an underground house music dj since 1994. I've played all over the US. I've lived in Knoxville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Kansas City, MO, and now San Diego, CA. While in Kansas City, I was lucky enough to work with DeepFix Records. Not only were we a household name for underground house from 2001-2007, we threw a crazy sick party called Frisky with all of our favorite Djs ; Derrick Carter, Luke Solomon, Mark Farina, Diz, Wally Callerio, DJ Sneak, Hector Moralez, DJ Heather, Miles Maeda... you get the picture. Since then, I've been lucky enough to become friends with some of them and play along side them many more times. They also play my tunes! I've been producing since 2001.  I've been on a bunch of cool labels like Kolour Recordings, Sampled Detroit, and Greenhouse Recordings. in 2008 Uriah West(one of the coolest guys in the world, and one of my best friends) and I started Audio Indika. It's a house music label focusing on quality, not quantity. We've put out tracks by Forrest Avery(The guy that invented the NWMC), John Hawley, Wally Callerio, Frankie J, and a whole bunch of dope underground artists. Right now you can catch me every Friday at The Air Conditioned Lounge in San Diego, and on other nights, different cities across the country.
