Setting:   'twas 2am Sunday morning, night 2, at the main stage...  dance floor was packed thanks to our headliners, Wally Callerio & Demarkus Lewis, who jus played his last track.   I’m running off of about 6.5 hours of sleep since Thurs morning.  Paolo Dava & MikeyTown were MC’n, hyping the crowd, & announcing between DJ sets.  Many of you were there; some said they listened from yonder.  I don’t remember much else except for the fact that I was trying to squeeze 18 tracks into a 1 hr set.  Mission accomplished. Here’s how it went…

We are back with Volume 166 and what a treat we have for you all as we welcome the legendary NYC producer Robb Swinga to SRS!  

Robb has been a staple in the dance music scene for decades now, and has had countless bombs released on such iconic labels as Nervous Records, Bambossa, Late Night Jackin, Henry Street and Robsoul to name but a few.  

His track "Beautiful Jazz" released earlier in 2021 is still one of our personal fave tracks of the year.

We are back with SRS167!  For our next episode, we head to France as we welcome the up and coming DJ/Producer Sapia to Soul Room Sessions!

Between house and tech house, between old and new, Sapia's sets are the result of long hours spent digging and DJ'ing to carve his sound.  He began his journey as resident DJ for Lille label Lezart Records in 2015, and since then has played at many clubs and festivals in Paris and Lille.  He is one to keep your eyes and ears on!

The Dukes have steadily been carving out a very well earned reputation as seriously talented producers over the last few years. It's no surprise really as they comprise Italian producers Walterino and Keller, two producers whose history spans all the way back to the 90's. Between them their pedigree is pretty incredible there have been chart hits with Moody's Dove and Wamdue Project's King of My Castle, a near endless list of original releases and a host of huge name remixes including Masters At Work, Ultra Nate’, Michael Watford, Moby, Donna Summer, Cerrone, Peter Gabriel and Frankie Knuckles. They have already had careers that most producers can only dream off.

On the back of their classy remix of Jestofunk, which has been doing some serious damage over the last couple of months, they have just released a brilliant single 'Always Better' with Double Dee on Midnight Riot which has been tearing up the Traxsource charts. 

I spoke to them in depth about their careers, the scene in Italy and they also put together this brilliant mix for us showcasing a whole load of their recent material. Check out the full interview over on LV online via:
