quietly epic indie-folk piano singer-songwriter from Northampton, Massachusetts

Located in the hills of the Pioneer Valley, just outside Northampton, Black Coffee Sound offers the solitude of the country with the convenience of easy accessibility from I-91; just two hours from Boston and Providence.
We offer a multitude of studio instruments, gear, do-dads and whatnots in a relaxed, creative atmosphere.

The studio is only ten minutes away from downtown Northampton and can provide overnight accommodations.

The Campbell Apartment, named after a bar hidden inside New York's Grand Central Station, is the brain-child of Russian born singer-songwriter Ari Vais. The bar is now closed and the band continues to rock.  The Campbell Apartment the band won the name game!!!

The Campbell Apartment consists of Vais on vocals and guitar, bassist Kevin Frank and drummer Steve Mathews.

The Campbell Apartment is currently at work in San Francisco recording their 4th album.  Early songs can be heard here, one by one, until the full LP has been completed.

Thus far, sludgy "Ready for the Crawl", moody "Frustration Station" and the obvious radio single "VP of Snails" have dropped.... keep an ear here for the next batch!

A musical prodigy as a child, Dave began playing the cello and piano at age three, performed on Broadway and with the Metropolitan Opera at age seven, and debuted at Carnegie Hall at age 15. He is a graduate of Harvard University and the Julliard School's Doctoral Program.

Dave Eggar has performed worldwide as a solo cellist and pianist. A virtuoso of many styles, Dave has performed and recorded with artists in numerous genres including Evanescence, The Who, Michael Brecker, Josh Groban, Coldplay, Beyonce, Pearl Jam, Fall Out Boy, Dave Sanborn, Kathleen Battle, Ray Lamontagne, Roberta Flack, The Spin Doctors, Dianne Reeves, Brandy, Carly Simon, Phil Ramone, Hannah Montana, Duncan Sheik, Sinead O'Connor, Bon Jovi, Manhattan Transfer, Corinne Bailey Ray and many more.

Dave's 4th solo release, Kingston Morning, was recorded in Brooklyn, NY, Kingston, Jamaica, and Big Stone Gap, Virginia. It will be released on Domo Records in late April 2010.
