Recorded for Disquiet Junto 0366 using samples of ice cubes in a glass recorded in my apartment in Amsterdam on 05/01/2019 using a Zoom H1 Handy Recorder, Digitakt to fuck with and sequence the sounds, Reaper to slice the original recordings and the final track itself

Recorded in Crécy-la-Chapelle with Elisa Guilleminet <3 for disquiet 0367 - a work in progress collaborative song

Using a synth-1 and vcv-rack. 
Bpm: 98,
Time signature: 4/4

Panned 100% left (as dictated by project rules)

Trio Initiate (disquiet0367)

I added some percussion sounds using a digitakt (bpm: 60.5) and a further drone-y sound using a cooking video from youtube and paulstretch. 

My contribution is panned 100% to the right.

Trio (disquiet0369)

I used vcv-rack to manipulate the original sounds and to add random plucky sounds in using the Turing Machine.

Dialogue and image come from La Jetée which I had been dreaming of the previous night

Final Solo (disquiet0369)

Recorded for disquiet-0375 - something that sounds nothing like myself.

A cappella verse with some autotune added. 

A cover of You Are My Sunshine by Jimmie Davis. Though, while being one of two credited songwriters of the song (the other being Charles Mitchell, who is a songwriter, best known for being a collaborator of the aforementioned Jimmie Davis. His best known song being the presently discussed "You Are My Sunshine" with co-writer Jimmie Davis (more on him to follow)), interestingly, Davis never actually claimed authorship as he bought the song and rights from Paul Rice (supposedly, he was inspired in 1937 by a letter from a fan - this is known to be the most trustworthy of the origin theories of "You Are My Sunshine")  and put his name on it. This practice was not uncommon before World War 2 in the music business. However, a competing school alleges that the Pine Ridge Boys (who were the first to record the track on August 22 1939 for Bluebird Records (founded in 1932 as a lower-priced RCA Victor Subsidiary label and focused on producing and selling music inexpensively) and were from Atlanta)were offered it from an unknown lady singer from South Carolina. 

Perhaps the origins of this beautiful piece of music will forever remain a mystery. Perhaps, some even say, it was written in 1933 by an Oliver Hood? (a gifted country musician and song writer - who sadly may never have copywrited his own work, which notable country music artist, Georg Jones, once called the most perfect song ever written and was widely known to be the third best-known song in the world.)
