Planet Euphorique is the name of @d-tiffany’s label, but also a perfect summation of her sound: musically she reworks rave, euphoria, trance, electro, breakbeat and techno into all out emotional onslaughts that get hands in the air and chests swelling with joy. The Canadian - who also runs the xpq? label - has always got things done on her own terms, from running parties in her own house in Vancouver to making dance music with the gear she had previously used as part of a band via setting up her own women-focused Intersessions DJ school.

This week she treats us to an extra special two hour selection that will take you to the heart of a rave in your front room. It’s a mix that bristles with life, from dusty and teary-eyed breakbeats that are shrouded in nostalgia to more clipped and kicking techno. The mixing is tight and urgent and after initially serving up plenty of lush moments of melody and IDM introspection, it grows all the more direct and unhinged later on.

Offering an intelligent and refined take on heavy, rave focused club music is St-Petersburg based  Maruwa. Her sound fuses all the genre defining bits of a wide palette,  weaving them together into a 'greatest hits' tapestry of electronica. Expect broken beats thumpy acid lines and delicate trance pads in this genre bending hour of a mix.  It's a similar intoxicating sound which she's made a name for herself on with stellar releases on stalwart labels SCDD and Lobster Theremin, so we expect nothing less.

It’s a pleasure to welcome @holdinghandsrecords label affiliate @adampits to the FH mix series, a Leeds based talent who we can confidently say is one of the most talented producers currently circulating the underground scene.   To put it bluntly, Adam has an extraordinary technical ability to produce mind-blowing tech-house tracks, and as a result has recently enjoyed releases on the likes of Coastal Haze, One Records and the aforementioned Holding Hands (one our favourite labels of the year). 

Despite his young age, Adam’s mature approach to production and DJ selection is one to be admired; and this mix is a reflection of that. 

Don't be surprised to see Adam's name join the disproportionately long list of acclaimed DJ’s that have arisen from Leeds’ Hyde Park area.. Enjoy!
