I started writing and recording my own blend of indie, folk rock when I was 16, on my father’s eight track recorder in a home-made studio in Loveland, Colorado. I grew up in Medford, Wisconsin (also where Bon Iver recorded his debut album) and began taking guitar lessons from my father at age 13, after hearing “Rubber Soul” for the first time. Days, nights, months and years were spent dissecting that album. Coming from a musical family, I was introduced to a variety of music from Stevie Ray Vaughn and Robert Johnson to Chet Baker and Miles Davis. From Sam Cooke and The Everly Brothers to The Beach Boys, Mozart, Bob Dylan and The Beatles. I admit trying to squeeze elements of all genres into my own music. I continued writing and recording through high school and into college and became more and more interested in the recording aspect and became anxiously interested in the opportunities that the studio presented as an instrument itself. In 2010 I  recorded a 10 song demo and sent it to producers throughout the country. The demo came across the ear of Dr. Dog and Man Man producer, Bill Moriarty, who liked the material and agreed to come out to Colorado and record a week’s worth of music and also enlisted the help of Johnny Hickman producer, Jason Larson. “That was the best learning experience I could have ever had, and completely opened my eyes to the other wonderful things you can do in the studio.” I took that experience and went right back into the studio and recorded my debut EP, “My Future Win". The album was written, produced, recorded, and mixed at my studio in Loveland, Colorado and mastered with multi-Grammy award winning engineer David Glasser at Air Show Mastering. I've since independently released another EP, “Mapril Sessions” and "Trade Winds" was released on Oct 7th 2014 under Noble Steed Music . I hope that my music gives listeners a fresh perspective and settles in your gut, resonating, keeping your ears open for more.
