There was a girl, she was looking for some joy in her heart.
Tried to find someone to play the part, never knew just how or where to start.
There was a boy, he was looking too, but never could.
Tried the things they all said he should, he would surely find one if he would.
Then one day, it was the month of May.
They both ended up at the Chick-fil-a,
Waiting patiently for their chance to pay.
Surely fate was gonna smile on them.

Could this be it? Fate had stepped right in and let them there.
There they were, breathing the same air. Could this be their moment, that seemed fair.
There they stood, so close, but yet so very far away.
Something caught their eye the other way. Turns out that the both of them were gay.
Just like that, in a flash of light,
They both thought, this does not seem right.
Giving them my money, just to help them fight
Everything that makes me who I am.

And so they walked. This is not the place that’s earned my trade.
Thinking ‘bout the price already paid. Even though it is good lemonade.
They walked away, never went back. It’s bad enough living under attack.
When you support ‘em, well, that’s just whack.
And they never went to Chick-fil-A again.
