9 months! time flys by so fast! and youre so right. if youre into music and making it, its awesome to do so, but as you mention, its not EVERYTHING

what i really like is the rock mood you keep sustained. always feels like being brought back in time. great tune! what i would "critisize" is, that the vocals are way too silent in contrast with the other elements, no need to hide , your singing fits perfect!!

Ein erster Auszug meines Schaffens hier als Album. Ähnlichkeiten mit Bands wie Marillion, Anathema, Pink Floyd, Neal Morse, Pineapple Thief usw. kommen nicht von ungefähr. Zumindest haben mich diese Bands neben einigen anderen stark beeinflußt. Viel Spaß dabei.

Die Idee dazu hatte ich als ich im letzten Sommer einen Sonnenuntergang beobachtet habe. Von daher könnte er auch "sunset" heißen, klang mir aber zu abgegriffen. :)

Der song ist der Instrumentalpart eines ursprünglich sehr viel längeren Songs, damals noch in Bandbesetzung. Neu arrangiert und komplett von mir eingespielt. Es kommen dort meine Einflüsse des deutschen Krautrocks der frühen 70ér Jahre zum Tragen.

Introduction in English:

Most recently, after a long time, I was at the "Black Cafe" on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm. And as I sat there, I remembered a scene from my life that was the starting point for the song "Treason:
About 25 years ago I'm sitting one Saturday morning at three o'clock in the Black Cafe. Although I hardly ever drink alcohol, I'm drinking my third glass of vodka to wash down the increasingly painful shock of a triple betrayal: 
My wife betrayed our fidelity alliance because she cheated on me. My best friend betrayed our friendly loyalty because my wife cheated with him. And finally, I betrayed myself by taking poor care of myself and blindly trusting them.
The associated feeling of "nothing is the same as it was before" and "everything that seemed so right now appears wrong, upside down, or in shambles..." I have tried to express with this song.

Many thanks to you. 700 mark cracked. The name wispy clouds is derived from the band name clouds over eden. But since the beginning of the pandemic hardly any bandlife can take place, i startet to realize my ideas myself with my own studio equipment. I play all the instruments except the keyboards myself. At the keys, share the job with my son Jonas Ahrens, also as "lens flare" on soundcloud.(He can do this much better than i). Musically i´m inspired by bands like Yes,Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Eloy, Marillion, IQ, Neal Morse or Pineapple Thief. 
I´m happy to have found here a way to make my music heard.
I don´t like liking without a comment.
