Celebrating the return of ROWA!
After his debut in January which knocked people out of their comfort zone he has now written 4 new tracks for his upcoming Traum release which also includes remixes by Gabriel Ananda and Beatamines.
Stealing his way into our hearts with the opening track "Feierabend, ROWA has written a fantastic epic story. A lightweight paraglider of feelings that tickle our soul in a very refined and pure way. For we are
quite sure it can result in a calm dance anthem for those who know how to celebrate a collective feeling.
The contemplative feeling of "Flamborghini" is marked by a sensual melody that zigzags through the track expressing a great happy-sad feeling.
"07407" kicks off as a powerful techno track but throws in some lightweight melodies that mark a cool contrast and will put a smile on your face.
Gabriel Ananda’s remix of "Flamborghini" evokes some great feelings that at times remind us of early Moby productions but then proceeds towards a stronger progression still possessing all the quality you need for an after-hours track.
Beatamines takes "07407" to a place much darker and based more on the movement than creating a lead melody, keeping a fine rhythmic approach that pulls you in slowly step by step.
The last track is another ROWA original and comes in the shape of an ambient track called "Das Meer" (eng. the sea).
For those of you who don`t know his track "Spring" listen to this masterpiece of evolving waves of sounds that reflect on shifting movement of tones within a melody.

Theus Mago serves up a hypnotising triplet of tracks on the ‘Apache Nights’ EP for Dave Harvey’s Futureboogie, each cut brimming with psychedelic tendencies and an assured chugging pace, and British stalwarts, Chicken Lips, are on hand with a tantalising remix. 

Hailing from Mexico, Theus Mago may also be familiar to many as the man behind Bufi, and across both aliases, has released singles and albums for the likes of Electrique Music, Turbo, Roam Recordings, and his own Duro imprint.

‘Apache Nights’ is built upon an irresistible booming dudwise b-line and tight and lively rhythm section, as esoteric melodies and trippy samples & tones pan across the sound board.  British duo, Chicken Lips, have admirably served many year’s service in the alt.disco genre, and alongside their ground-breaking productions on Kingsize and Azuli, are probably more renowned for the raft of remixes turned in over the years for everyone from Newcleus to Simian Mobile Disco, Ladyhawke to Tiga, Ennio Morricone to Soul Mekanik.  For their ‘Chicken Lips Malfunction’ of ‘Apache Nights’, we’re slapped around the chops with a gargantuan nine-minute night ride!

‘Piu Mosso’ jumps on board the magic carpet for a transcendental journey, whilst ‘Sergio Ramos’ has Theus teaming up with Thomass Jackson (Gomma/Calypso Records) for a raw and minimal workout, brain scrambling sonics and a contagious groove that closes this exceptional release.

We couldn't pass the beauty of 'Heart Signs' track by dOP we released recently on vinyl and digital, so that's how we had the idea to implement more versions into this dramatic composition.
Israel producer Chaim, the artist of such notable labels as Bpitch, Rumors, Visionquest, as well as his recently launched Blue Shadow imprint, has always been known (for us and the world) for his signature sound at a rich and varied range in full.His remix of 'Heart Signs' is a great interpretation of the original; with great repetitive sharp synthesizers leads, crunchy percussions and mystic delayed Jaw's vocals it gives a feeling of the abrupt and unexpected approach to it's sound.
Needless to write a lot about Tiefschwarz, as it's pretty much known for guys brilliant music. With more than two decades of the duo career, releasing multiple records with Watergate Records, Get Physical, Compost, Dessous, Cocoon, Bedrock, Mobilee, as well successfully A&Ring their influential Souvenir label, Ali & Basti have followed their own path of musical brilliance. Their remix of 'Heart Signs' is accentuating the thoughtful mood of the original, taking the main elements of the track: vocals and the piano touches, wrapping them into dark techno shell.
Two different mixes have said it enough about the track, so we hope you'll be as much happy, as we are with this release.

The road was calm and quiet, those who inhabited the surroundings rarely saw much new life pass through here. Bordered by perfectly symmetrical tall trees, the dust track stretched far into the distance, with no destination in sight. He perched on the side of the road, tapping the curb with the tips of his fingers to make sure he didn't drift off. With every slight sound he jolted up to his feet, but for hours he waited and nothing passed. As he was about to admit defeat, the rev of an engine sounded further up the road, slowly gaining closer and closer. Now to sweet talk his way into getting a lift...

Parisian label Motordiscs, a continuation of the late Garage club in the capital, offer up their third release, another V/A spotlighting former DJs and artists who've played at the space. Following previous track contributions from the likes of Sascha Funke, Khidja, Zombies in Miami and Massimiliano Pagliara, their newest release brings together tracks from The Juan MacLean, Fairmont, Naduve and our pick from Javi Redondo, who notches the energy levels up through revving synth lines and dynamic percussion.

Tibi Dabo returns to Crosstown Rebels with his second EP of the year The Distance We Share. His third EP will follow in the Autumn in advance of his debut album forthcoming in 2021. Globally revered American producer David Morales turns in two outstanding remixes that demonstrate contrasting aspects of his illustrious career.

The Distance We Share sees beautiful melodies standing both individually and combined to create an ethereal atmosphere. Starting with golden keys that drop into a twinkling lullaby, rising and falling throughout the track before ending with danceable energy. Komorebi opens with melancholic chords, the bassline moves at a relaxed pace over a rhythm of hi-hats and cowbell, sensual distorted vocals and delicate chimes induce a feeling of romance. The first remix of Komorebi from David Morales sees him add his legendary Red Zone stamp of New York influenced house music, building tension with darker tones, chugging percussion and hypnotic loops. On the Diridim Mix Morales turns the vibe to that of his newest label, with classic soulful electronics adding a deep sense of warmth.

Still in its infancy, the Tibi Dabo project from Max Guardans has seen his unique emotive take on electronic music and sound design catch the attention of influential figureheads. His debut release the Ende EP on Sasha's Last Night on Earth imprint demonstrating his remarkable talent. With his determined attitude and unrelenting thirst for exploration impressing respected tastemaker Damian Lazarus, he was immediately signed to Crosstown Rebels. His last two EP’s Her Moon and Disbelieve on the imprint, initiating a run of unrelenting form that marks the start of big things to come.
