Summertime is "BBQ Techno" time -  for the third season already, we present a summerly selection of open air guarantor out of our repertoire, tracks from upcoming releases, as well as several exclusives for your outdoor BBQ and dancing pleasure.

From the upcoming releases, we have selected one title from the next Holtoug release called "Noisy Nights". The original was released Denmark-exclusive on the small but fine label Fake Diamond. For our release, Holtoug has developed the more clubbish "Dizzy Days" version, which we will present on this sampler. On the single which will be released in early autumn, you will also find an outstanding Kollektiv Turmstrasse remix. 
With "End" we will showcase a very talented artist from Russia called Koett. His submission is an oldschoolish UK-Breatbeat-hommage which will destroy some dancefloors for sure. On top, we are happy to announce one title from Noraj Cue's first release on Connaisseur. This gifted fellow from the Netherlands, who has already provided a title for our Livingroom Techno 3 sampler, delivers  a Connaisseur blueprint track called "Burning Eyes". Deep, touching and full of wonderful melodies.

As exclusives, we kick off the compilation straight away with a lovely indie-electronic song by Raw Verse feat. C.Layne, one the projects of Marco Effe, who will also drop a release on Connaisseur later this year. The second exclusive is the tender "I Don't Want It" by the talented danish duo Mr. Leman & Thomas Dieckmann. Next up is Terje Saether feat. Mari N Petterson from Norway with a wonderful Pop-Techno lullaby called "Good Night". As a special exclusive we are more than happy to present one of the most requested tracks from the Michael Mayer's Resident Advisor podcast from earlier this year. Jobe's "Got Me" was only available on vinyl on a very limited UK pressing so far . On BBQ Techno 3 he will hit the digital market for the first time with this stand-out tune. To round up the selection, as a closing title we chose the stirring "Overflow" by another russian fellow called Freska, guaranteeing a massive goose flesh attack.

HAFT, the Iranian duo of Sam Nasehi and Amir Subb, are known for fusing hypnotic synths, deep- rooted pads, and intricate percussion into a sound that bridges traditional textures with modern progressive house. Their debut three-track EP on Balance Music delivers a journey filled with psychedelic undercurrents and shimmering atmospheres that is crafted equally for the dance floor and for deep listening.

The brooding ‘Driftor’ is designed to nudge any DJ set in the right direction. An off-beat bass drives the engine, allowing you to comfortably sit in the pocket of its inviting narrative. Steely drums and percussion form a cohesive frame, while a bag of tasteful effects, samples, and stabs fill the remaining spaces. Once the breakdown hits, in all its subtlety, you know you’re in the hands of professionals. This is essential prog, designed for any occasion.

There is an undercurrent of psychedelia running through ‘Myntal’, hypnotic and consuming. Low- end frequencies double as notes, merging with the bass to create a dizzying effect. Its main-room identity, however, is confirmed by drums that strut forward with propulsive energy. It all points towards a seductive breakdown, its layering teasing a drop that confirms it: this is designed for floors ready to ignite.

Filled with depth, ‘Prism’ shimmers and shakes as synths and stabs perpetually morph. The result is a continuous stream of sonic moments to lose yourself in. Thankfully, the dense bassline and drums bring you back from the edge of hypnosis, filling the space with an elastic energy as buoyant as a trampoline. Then comes the breakdown: bells dissolve into minor-key haze, half beautiful, half surreal: an inviting dream-logic that is hard to deny.

Sophisticated minimalism was always a core feat of ALEX UNDER's portfolio, with the Spanish producer also serving as the founder and label manager for much-acclaimed techno label CMYK Musik. After releases on iconic imprints such as Trapez, Soma or Plus 8, the Madrilenian - one of the most sought-after electronic artists in Spain - now presents OLAS DE QUILA QUINA, his very first outing for Kompakt. Three slick, enticing cuts show him comitted to rolling basslines, rising synths and snappy percussion, all embedded in the futuristic sound design Alex has been honing over the course of his career. Unfolding to the backdrop of brooding metallic drones, the title track only needs a handful of carefully processed sounds to tell a highly evocative story - a focussed, geometrical jam that nonetheless allows for freewheeling outbursts of creativity. The same can be said for the punching, asymmetrical acid of EL REFLEJO DEL LACAR and the full-bodied bass bounce of LOLOG, as both cuts juxtapose sharp-edged shards of electronic texture with chewy, melodic synths.
