The one and only Mother Recordings welcome the always firing NiCe7 for a pair of red hot dance floor bombs. The Italian duo have released on the likes of DFTD, Crosstown Rebels, Snatch! and Mother previously, and they return to Mother with another couple of dance floor bombs.

Disco Change kicks off with a razor sharp groover, rock solid kicks and plenty of tense synths. Once a big vocal arrives to bring diva qualities and lung busting hooks the whole tune goes to another level and will really blow the roof off.

Look At Me then has a perfectly slinky groove with a real sense of skip to it. The hi hats are icy cold, the kick drums flap underneath, and then some old school chords come in to really get those hands in the air next to another fine vocal.

These are classy and highly effective tunes from NiCe7.

A word from Jesse Rose:
“It’s been an amazing rollercoaster of a ride with Play It Down and when asked why I would stop releasing in its current incarnation the answer was obvious. I’ve always been very involved in the A&R process of all the releases. I’ve always felt confident to tell an artist if something should be taken out or added because I have spent (near enough) every weekend for the last two decades in a club, listening and playing House music. I would test the demos in my sets and know automatically what felt right and what felt wrong. If I’m not playing in clubs it wouldn’t feel right for me to tell someone who is playing shows every weekend how their record should sound. And ultimately, Play It Down for me has been about finding music I've wanted to play in my sets. So for the minute it’s a massive thank you to all the artists, fellow DJs, supporters, club-goers,
distributors, journalists, radio presenters, interns, promoters, bootleggers, and to Laura (who has worked day-in & day-out overseeing near every part of the label for the past five years) for letting us come up with dreams that all of you have helped make a reality.
This Play It Down 100 compilation album of original tracks brings back all the current roster to collaborate and a few tracks written solo by some of our key artists. It was a very enjoyable process to see what they would all come back with.”

US based DJ and producer Junior Sanchez makes his debut on Saved Records this month with his brand new ‘Division’ EP. Continually making waves and shaking up the world of House music with his eclectic and unpredictable palette of sounds, Junior Sanchez is undeniably one of dance music's most prolific artists with celebrated releases on seminal labels including Relief, MadTech, Circus, Strictly Rhythm, Nervous and Snatch alongside own imprint, Brobot. The ‘Division’ EP reflects Junior’s signature sound, delivering passionate melodies, infectious vocals, crisp and energetic drums, complex percussive rhythms and epic breakdowns.

Junior Sanchez - The Purpose

Few people are more synonymous with deep and tech house than Matthias Tanzmann. Ever since first emerging from his native Leipzig in the mid nineties, the German producer, DJ and label boss has helped to define and redefine the genres through his releases on his own label Moon Harbour and his much talked about DJ sets. 

Most notably these sets happen at DC10 in Ibiza, where he is resident for the Circo Loco crew, and which often see him team up with friend and peer Davide Squillace. The pair has also recently partnered in the studio with Desolat’s Martin Buttrich as Better Lost Than Stupid, a new collective that is working on a debut album and aims to unleash a brand new live show in the coming months following on from some well received b2b2b sets in recent times. 

When working solo Tanzmann very much has his own sonic identity, as evidenced by standout EPs such as Bulldozer, Chano and Tilt and his debut album from 2008, Restless. As a remixer he has been in constant demand over the years, turning his hand to acts as diverse as Booka Shade, Moby and Josh Wink. The results were recently collated on his Remixes 2002-2012 compilation, which showcased just how adept and adaptable he is as a remixer.

Over the years, Matthias has also mixed it up for some of the most respected CD series, including Fabric in 2012, Circo Loco in 2011 and many others. His DJ style is unique in the way it threads together elongated grooves, subtle melodies and infectious basslines into soundtracks that never lose sight of the groove and keep people locked in for hours on end. 

The breadth, depth and consistency of his Moon Harbour label over the years are also testament to Matthias Tanzmann’s dedication to electronic music. The label has released countless EPs, LPs and compilations, and has A&Red new talents and nurtured established stalwarts in equal part, from Sable Sheep to Dan Drastic, Ekkohaus to Luna City Express. He might have been doing this for almost 20 years, but Matthias Tanzmann remains as influential as ever.
