This institution receives no state aid and is therefore dependent on donations.

Once again, many old friends and new faces - local and around the globe - have come together to bridge the gap between Neo-Soul, Hiphop, Synthiepop, Dub, Modern Funk, Breaks, Electro and House.

This year's compilation is once again dedicated to the Bärenherz children's hospice here in Leipzig.
The people in this organization do such incredibly important work, but unfortunately it is all too often "invisible" - because if we're honest, it's not a topic you like to deal with unless you are directly or indirectly affected yourself. And then you realize that the costs of care, accommodation, supplies and psychosocial therapies are only partially covered by health insurance. The children's hospice does not receive any state subsidies, and that's why it is dependent on private donations.

We asked a few old friends from our new hood (now that we are no longer just mentally but also physically located in Leipzig) for tracks, as well as new ones - from Connewitz to Chicago - bridging the gap between Neo-Soul, good old Boom Bap, Modern Funk, Electro, Synthiepop, Breaks and of course, House Music in all its shades.

Mit unserer New-In-Rubrik besprechen wir regelmäßig wichtige und spannende Electronic-Releases aus Leipzig. Ab sofort könnt ihr uns dabei auch zuhören – wir starten ein Radio-Format. Wer frohfroh schon etwas länger verfolgt, wird wissen, das "New In" mittlerweile unsere zentrale Rubrik ist, um neue elektronische Musik aus Leipzig kennenzulernen. Aktuell teile ich mich mit David und Nils in die Auswahl und die Texte rein. Anschließend hört sich jeder durch seine Auswahl und bespricht sie.

Wir hatten aber auch große Lust, gemeinsam über ausgewählte Releases zu sprechen. Und here we go: Unsere Pilotfolge ist fertig und kann direkt hier gehört werden. Wir wollen kompakt in einer Stunde einen Überblick zu aktuellen Leipzig-Releasess bieten, bei dem wir gemeinsam unsere Gedanken und Eindrücke äußern und ihr einzelne Tracks auch direkt hören können. Klassisches Musikradio, nichts Neues, aber etwas, das uns noch immer abholt, weil es Empfehlungen und Neuentdeckungen abseits von Algorithmen ermöglicht.

Jede Ausgabe vom New In Radio teilt sich in zwei Teile: Es geht los mit einem Free Dive, bei dem wir in kurzer Folge mehrere Releases vorstellen. Später folgt ein Deep Dive, in dem wir einem Release etwas intensiver widmen – mit mehr Wortanteil und mehreren Tracks. Und am Ende gibt es noch eine Überraschungsrubrik, die wir jetzt aber noch nicht verraten. Hört einfach rein.
