This is a live recording, captured at Ego club in Düsseldorf, June 5 1999.  The music has been created with a self written step sequencer, the PX-18, controlling  a basic sample player and effects engine, all done in MaxMSP, running on a Powerbook G3. The step sequencer had some unique features, e.g. the ability to switch patterns independently in each track, which later became an important part of a certain music software.

I found the recording on a backup disk today. It has not been edited or mastered. During the first 20 minutes of the set, and before the 'encore' the Monolake CD 'Gobi' is playing in the background.

Hardly inspired from artists of world renown, such as : Masomenos, Marc Antona, Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Rhadoo, Seuil, Cabanne, Petre Inspirescu, Minilogue, Danny Tenaglia and others, from the beginning the fresh Italian project Counrad has been strongly affected by deep and techno tunes and the multitude variety of grooves of the different musical styles.
Music has always been his passion, from the tender age till now.
Counrad relishes the challenge of crafting techno that reveals itself gradually to the careful listener, emotions, sexy rhythms by way of subtle textures and melodies are the right ingredients of his sounds, generating an irresistible tension and sexy vibe in every own track. 
Hard to enframe as a style, we are talking about the new age of techno, he loves to mix dark and dub-minimal sounds, making up a story, emotuions and surprises. 
It’s all very organic and unusual.
This is what he try to maintain with more or less success.
There’s no strategy behind this, just produces what he feels.

Deep Reggae and heavy Dub: this month we present a show by Mark Ernestus with Tikiman on the mic. As the founder of the legendary Berlin based Hard Wax record store he laid the foundation for Berlin's electronic club music scene in 1989. As one half of Basic Channel (aka Maurizio), he gained international fame with a hybrid of Dub and Techno. As part of the duo Rhythm & Sound he refined this signature sound alongside a range of vocalists - most extensively Tikiman aka Paul St. Hilaire. For Carhartt WIP Radio they prepared a mix loaded with rare gems by Reggae legends such as Prince Jazzbo, Nitty Gritty, or Ken Boothe. Tune in and get absorbed by real weigthy bass pleasure!

Everything changes, but not immediately. Conditions, distances…
Whether it is red sunset going below the horizon, or whether it is space satellite flight so far from the visible area.
Only later changes impact can be observed. Most often it is achieved by little but daily work. This is the way how stars are forming and planets are moving. The difference is how much time does it need to see the tangible result.

This is the inevitability, the law of existence.
