Before my brother Chris died, he came home from Australia to Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, as he was very unwell at the time. My older brother Daniel drove from Wellington to be with him too. Despite that they both played music as a hobby, we had never actually all made music together. I suggested we make music together, because I know that if you give someone a sense of purpose, you give them life. I suggested we make hip hop, because I had a feeling it would be the best way to harness and express the hardship (and hope) we were facing together. I made the beat, and we spent a day in the Treehouse (my studio) together, writing, expressing, rapping, connecting. Now that Chris has passed, this track is a treasure we will keep forever.🖤🤍🖤
