Eyes and Ears are a live music promotions and production team based in Brighton.

Self described as “suicide pop”, their debut album “Oh Unhappy Bella” is the narrative of a boy and his sombre, twisted journey through love with a girl who never existed -- none of the dark bits removed. “Suicide pop isn’t a glorification of sadness or anything like that,” says Johnny Glass. “These things happen, we’ve all been through something horrible and this was our way of putting that into song through the vehicle of someone else’s story.” 

That story was Sidney’s (Kauffman): “I spent a whole summer doing menial work painting fences and out of that mind numbing abyss has come this whole project, the story, everything.” All the work has been done in the shadow of their redbrick dwelling in a little outbuilding they’ve recreated as an amateur studio. “It’s all we ever wanted, just a little room to play about in and make some tunes,” says Tommy Cowley. “Only this time we had a story and a concept”. 

Utilising the DIY ideals laid down by the punk generation before them, RA! have made a point of making this project an entirely self-made operation. Everything from producing, to mastering, to graphics has all been the work of a select coterie of friends and co-conspirators. And now they’re ready to share this less-than-gleeful project with the world, in the hope that - ironically - it might just put some smiles on people’s faces.

Joe Booley is a 21 year-old singer-songwriter from Bordon. He has spent past years playing rock/punk in various bands, but a few years ago felt he should concentrate more on songwriting and a more folky/acoustic style. Since a very young age he has been very interested and encouraged in music and playing instruments, and has been playing guitar and various other instruments since the age of 4. He was introduced to a wide variety of music including; The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan, which really kicked off his passion for music.

Since debuting his own music at a school concert in early 2012, he has been working on a portfolio of songs and has recorded his debut EP 'RAW'. He takes the opportunity to play his music anywhere he can, whether it’s at church, school, teaching others, or even on the beach! While studying music technology and performance at college he has been writing more and trying to record more and more. As well as starting to collaborate with a few musicians to start a band to go along with his solo work, and continues to get his music out there through different gigs with various different artists in his local area as well as supporting acts such as; Jazz Morley, House of Hats, Ruarri Joseph and Mike Dawes. As well as having grown in his song-writing and lyrics, you can see how he has grown even more with his live performances which include sometimes as many instruments as 5 different instruments on stage at once. After releasing another 3 singles since his Debut EP, he has now released his 2nd EP 'Snapshot' independently and his newest single 'Not a Fairytale' on Beth Shalom Records to great acclaim by reviewers. In late 2015 Joe then embarked on his first UK tour, in support of his 3rd EP 'Trouble'.

Levity are a 4-piece band based in Brighton that incorporate a mixture of soul, rock and funk into their music. Influenced by the likes of Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the band have been playing together for six months and have worked hard at creating an interesting and unique sound with a dynamic live act to go with it. An 8 track EP titled Cause & Effect was released in February 2017.
