The winners of the New England Music Awards' Hip-Hop Act of the Year, Urban Nerdz claims to embody the word “originality”. A collective group led by two men known as Mr. Dubuission and Mr. Campbell and backed with a nine-piece band including a drummer, percussionist, pianist, and horn section, their claim stands – the group transcends the hip-hop genre. Instead of following the crowd and being classified as backpackers, drug lords, gangster rappers and swag stars, The Urban Nerdz embrace going against the grain, working hard day in and day out to create new ways to be heard by fans. While focusing on their dream to touch the hearts of many, The Urban Nerdz strive on creating the future and living in the present, all while embracing the roots of music.
