I started to work on this one in January of 2021, now it's finally here. 
It will be part of album "XX Years From Now". This album goal is to remind us that our future is real and it is coming slowly day by day.
"Over the edge" is the soundtrack about the moments in our lives when we just can't leave things like they are now. When we can't take in anymore. Its about the moment when we say to ourselves
- It can't continue like that anymore. I'm going to change it. 

So, this is what the soundtrack about. It's about this kind of moments and what happens after we take a decision to act and change.

Over the edge

As a follow-up to his stunning remix of Mephisto’s 1992 classic, ‘State of Mind’ on Renaissance Records & his self- released Lando EP which saw support from the likes of Max Cooper, Joris Voorn, & Doc Scott, London-based Mattr returns with a new 2-tracker entitled ‘Colos’ on his own imprint Loft & Sound.

Opening with a glistening pad & tight off-beat percussive line, the title track Colos invites you to explore a sort of fantastical trek through the purest of euphoria, with its mellifluous warmth & playful vocal carrying you all the way
to the end.

Radiating a neoclassical quality is the second superb offering, XR. Its gentle organic rhythmic elements & key-work paired with a subtle vox bathe you in a highly visceral state of bliss.

When I knew that in this year 2022 the centenary of the birth of the composer Iannis Xenakis is being celebrated, I got the impulse of composing a piece inspired by his music. The result has been the composition that I present here.
