As expected, the whole affair is sprinkled gratuitously with Matt&#8217;s signature shadowy sound, with tracks from many of our friends, and of course, label boss Stefano Noferini. With Matt contributing three tracks, the package serves as a perfect representation of where he stands in the scene, both as a selector and a creator.</p>

The first and original track “Peal” is a groove-monster, huge drums, ghostly voice samples and trippy percussion work, a beauty. On the b side is a take from Matt Sassari on the original track, solid drums, sub bass madness and excellent use of the original’s stems all around.

It’s been a crazy but productive year for Marseille’s Matt Sassari. Having dropped releases on Kraftek, KMS, Bitten and Bouq, plus remixes for the likes of Tronic, Deeperfect and Form; the young producer is enjoying a rich and creative run that today sees him become the newest member of the SCI+TEC family with his label debut ‘Barglom’. 

The three track EP sees the Frenchman again showcase his deep, techy grooves as he opens with ‘You Know Chorus’ and its swollen pulsing bassline and fearsome rave stabs that jab throughout, breaking and yet enhancing the flow of the record. ‘Barglom’ kicks hard from the off but is tempered by subtle railroad horns that work brilliantly with Matt’s stripped beats to create a funky little engine. 

Final track ‘Harchinery’ sees Sassari team up with long time friend Matt Mor to create a darker and creepier finalé to the release while still maintaining the strong groovin’ backbone that runs throughout.

The long wait has come to an end and finally Format:B are back on their very own Formatik Records-imprint with another digital single release, a high quality smash that has been dancefloor tasted and punter proved throughout banging sets played by the dynamic duo for quite a while now.

With „Humpy“ we see Format:B bringing on a bouncy, highly seductive take of Motor / TechFunk which is able to set large scale venues on fire within seconds due its powerful, clonking bass motif and hefty stabs accompanied by dark'ish Rave-schooled hoover signals and masterly cut up vocal bits.
