Next up we are delighted to have London based music aficionado and friend of the label Johnny Aux for mix #110. For those living under a rock, Johnny is a member of Paranoid London, Sworn Virgins, Decius and the rest... which we won't go into 😎 very little introduction required.

The recording, taken from our Kutika record release party at Kristina Records is a dubbed out space exploration, seamlessly blended throughout with hints of Johnny's signature acid sound creeping in towards the end.

Matt Cowell is the co founder of longstanding web zine meets label Viscera as well as a resident of London based party Optick.

Having been heavily involved in electronic music for many years he has fronted several parties and become a familiar face in the East end of the city having moved to the big smoke from the coast a few years back.

He brought with him a cheeky smile and a record bag full of exquisite House and Techno which demonstrates a depth and maturity in the dance.

A keen champion of friends and a familiar face front left, his taste is broad and eclectic, lending itself perfectly to deeper, longer sets of which he has become a stalwart of as a resident for Ransom Note.

This mix demonstrates a deep rooted knowledge in respect to selection – weaving its way through a number of key moments and creating a cathartic well rounded soundtrack which few DJ’s are able to achieve.

Not many have covered the ground like London's Richard Sen has. Starting his deep dive into the underground scene by being the much recognised Sen graffiti writer he has moved on over the years to be considered one of the UK's great selectors and DJ's. Having also released music under several guises, not only under his own name (which he also has wealth of huge remixes for artists like Bryan Ferry, John Grant, Unloved and LCD Soundsystem), but most notably under the phenomenal Padded Cell and the excellent Bronx Dogs. With his excellent weekly radio show on Charlie Bones' Do!! You!!! Radio station as well as dropping the award winning Dream The Dream (UK Techno, Breakbeat And House 1990-1994) compilation on Ransom Note, Sen finds himself with an even larger wealth of fans. With that being said we are delighted to welcome Richard Sen to the Off The Record mix series where he provides us with a 3+ hour journey taking us on a deep dive into his record selection providing styles of all kinda throughout. Matt Walsh’s interest in DJing and production was fostered in the late 1990′s, while he was at university and progressive house was at its peak. Fast-forward a couple of years, a new decade heralded the birth of Electroclash and with it DJ Hell’s Gigolo Records, City Rockers and Playhouse. As Matt began to develop his trademark sound of modern disco-infused electronic house and techno, an offer of a residency at East London’s seminal T-Bar club set off a chain of events that would lead to Turbo Recordings don Tiga spotting him there in 2007. He then became a long term resident of Bugged Out!
Clouded Vision is not only his production alias, but also the clear minded platform to showcase the musical talent that has caught Matt Walsh’s sights.  Clouded Vision Recordings was set up in 2009 and has since received critical acclaim by pioneering new talent from across the world, with releases from Dimitri Veimar, Remote, Remain, Dark Strands, Sebastien Tex, Eskimo Twins Markus Gibb, Morgan Hammer and Matt himself.  Matt Walsh Presents:  The Clouded Vision Experiment was voted by Mixmag as one of the top compilations of the year in 2012, with volume 2 set to hit the shelves in the summer of 2014.

Under his own name, Matt’s original material has been described as techno with a propulsive and percussive energy, never afraid to take risks. “I try to move beyond the safer techno & house sounds and hopefully create something a bit different. It’s important to me to stay true to what I grew up with and I think that comes through in my productions, the EBM and new wave sound.”  

Matt has released material on Turbo Recordings and Kill The DJ, as well as his own label, and has recently remixed Daniel Avery, forthcoming on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound.  Expect a slew of remixes in early 2014, followed by original material and a second Clouded Vision Experiment album in early summer. The limited edition mixed compilation CD and download will contain all unreleased and exclusive tracks from new and exciting artists from the label.
