John Neidermeyer and Zack Geltzeiler are two experienced musicians and producers bringing together the best vibes of Funk, Rock, Blues, Soul, Reggae and Bass into one awesome package that is Buddha Monx. Both guitarists at heart, the duo met in high school, forming a metal band inspired by the likes of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and other classic artists. They went they’re separate ways to pursue a college education, and several years passed. But they’re taste in good music had not as both gravitated towards towards the electronic music scene, especially the funky stuff! One thing lead to another and impromptu meet up at Camp Bisco in 2017 during Lotus’ performance. After the set the two agreed to reach out once home just to jam again. A few weeks passed but sure enough, the two reunited and began writing music together again. The result this time was something that lit a fire in their hearts and in that moment, Buddha Monx was born. Since then, they have worked to craft their sound and techniques, always evolving and growing. They’re vision for performance is always bringing fresh ideas to live sets which creates for a fuller experience than can’t be captured in just sound. Buddha Monx still continues to write new music and perform live shows.
