"And I Love You So" is a popular song written by folk singer and guitarist Don McLean and was released on his 1970 debut album, Tapestry. Its chorus features an unusual rhyming scheme for a popular song: A-B-B-A versus the usual A-B-C (or A)-B.

Itwas a 1973 hit for singer Perry Como on his RCA Victor album of the same name, reaching No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It would be the last of his many popular recordings, dating back to 1943, to reach the Top 40. It also spent one week at No. 1 on the easy listening chart. This is a track which actually came from playing around with Suno AI. The background vocals are from the AI but moved to different places and the lyrics and tune were based on the first musical phrase in the AI. They were then extensively reworked and developed. The piece aims to give a feeling for the timeless and repetitive nature of the theme.
