"Intermezzo" for classical guitar and percussions by Rosalba Quindici

This is the recording made on September 21st 2019 by Alberto Cavallaro at saxophone and Federico Tramontana as a percussionist, for the first Cd of their duo, named  Duodubois, published by Ema Vinci Records in December 2019. The title of the Cd is Sùsu and the sound engineer Giuseppe Francesco Greco. This piece was composed in summer 2018, in a moment of hard discussions, about immigration and dramatic immigrants landings on Italian ports and seashores. The horizon recalls an unknown but coveted landing, between hope and disillusionment, courage and fear: a tragic contemporary odyssey".The two players and their instruments are linked together creating  a sonic body that wants to express a universal emotional condition" where time and space are an inner dimension"

This is the final version of  Αρχιπέλαγος, Arcipelagos, for violin, cello, clarinet and paper and electronics. This is the live recording of the first performance at EMUFest, Roma October 25  2016. Sofia Bandini violin, Alice Cortegiani clarinet, Alice Romano cello,Pasquale Citera e Marco De Martino electronics, Franco Sbacco direction and supervision.

An archipelago is a landscape of islands in the same sea. Similar or different in shapes, colours and moods but only one sea, the same wind.

Αρχιπέλαγος (Arcipelagos)

Born in Padua , graduated in Choral Music and Choral Conducting , in Composition with G.Bonato , and Electronic Music with N.Bernardini .
She has attended master classes F.Valdambrini , M.Bonifacio S.Sciarrino and has followed masterclasses with  G.Grisey , H.Lachenmann , M.Stroppa A. Vidolin . In 1997 she won  the ' European Women Composers Contest ( Nymegen -Holland, D.De la Motte jury president ) of the " Kaleidoscope Program of European Union ." In 2000 she won a scholarship at M ° S.Sciarrino 's composition course in Città di Castello-Festival delle Nazioni, Italia.In 2001 , third prize at the International Competition of Choral Composition " A Cappella " ( Frieder Bernius and E. Ericson E.Ortner in the commitee ) in Bochum.
In 2009 obtained a scholarship from the Lerici Foundation IIC Stockholm for a research project , in collaboration with the KTH in Stockholm.In 2011, second prize (I was not awarded) in the international composition contest on the ancient  Antegnati's organ in the basilica of S.Barbara, Mantua ( Mantua, M. Vatican Radio , Radio 4 (Hong Kong) DRS2 Radio , Sveriges Radio P2 , CeMAT Radio , Radio and TV Koper
She publishes for the german  Ferrimontana and the Italian  ArsPublica . He has recorded for labels Velut Luna( Italy), Altrisuoni( Swiss), EmaVinci Contemporanea(Italy) ,New Focus recordings( New York). Since1993 to 2003 she sang with the Italian chamber Choir Athestis Chours with which has partnered with the best orchestras in Italy and abroad .
Since 2011 is part of Collettivo Rituale , which deals with the provision and performance of repertoire Fluxus . She teaches Western Music Theory and Ear Training at Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello, Venezia.
