Barry Harris was the first club DJ in the world to write, produce and perform a Top 40 hit he titled “I Beg Your Pardon” by a studio act he named Kon Kan.

“I Beg Your Pardon”, became an international Top 5 hit around the world, garnering a Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) for Best Dance Recording in 1990.

In 1998 Barry relocated to Los Angeles to  coproduce in the remix duo Thunderpuss producing more than 40 #1 Billboard Dance remixes including hits for major label recording artists Madonna, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion & Donna Summer to name a few.

Barry & Thunderpuss is best known for Whitney Houston’s Top 5 global hit, “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” which remains in steady rotation today as well as Barry's  "Dive In The Pool (Let's Get Soakin' Wet). 
Also winner of 2 IDMA Awards best remixer of the year at WMC and another IDMA Award for Best Underground Dance Record of the Year.

Bridging the lush ambiance of dreamy synth-wave and the vibrant pulse of nightlife with the expressive melodies and vocal styling of iconic American and European pop music, ShyBoy’s latest LP His Royal Shyness unfolds effortlessly around stories of attraction, emotion, isolation, and connection. The ensuing sound pulls the audience into big city penthouses, down-low darkrooms, and small-town back alleys; on an adventure where the thin line between high-stakes love and low-rent lust reveals our innermost desires.

His Royal Shyness kicks off with the sparkling energy of the nu-disco infused opening track “Sweet Release,” setting the tone for the album’s effortless mix of dance, R&B, and alternative sounds. The sleek and stylish “Bedroom Secrets” sways hypnotically between icy keyboards and soulful vocals, sliding us from the bedroom to the dance floor and back again. The pulsating synth-pop fantasy “Sex Doll” is propelled by ShyBoy’s playful performance, highlighting his innate lyricism and fluid vocal range. The sultry and seductive “Bad Thoughts” captures glistening main-stage energy while cruising through the shadowy hallways that lead to the backroom.

ShyBoy is the music composer for the Emmy-nominated documentary series Queer For Fear: The History Of Queer Horror. Several songs from His Royal Shyness are featured in the show, including the main title “Backroom,” described by World of Wonder as “a gritty masterpiece.” The original score and soundtrack album from Queer For Fear features “Dildo Machine” by ShyBoy and RuPaul’s Drag Race superstar Alaska Thunderfuck.

ShyBoy's music has been featured in various TV shows, including RuPaul's Drag Race, Dynasty, and America's Next Top Model, as well as in the Capcom video game Devil May Cry 4 and the trailer for the 2018 film Halloween. His collaborations include projects with RuPaul, Alaska Thunderfuck, SlimKid3 (of The Pharcyde), Wendy Waldman, Darude, and Allee Willis. Additionally, ShyBoy co-founded the band Hypnogaja and the indie label The Spaceman Agency.
