DeepVoid (string quartet)

The Assignment: Make a piece of music that combines self-contained minimalist parts.

The idea for this piece was to have, on the one hand, some looping/repeating audio, and on the other hand looping/repeating audio effect automation. And then to create a piece on the fly by routing the audio into the effects channels, using a ‘matrix mixer’.
And then the hope was to have all of these patterns - patterns of played notes and patterns of changing effects - interact in interesting and unexpected, emerging, minimal-music like, ways.
Which, listening back, maybe happens… in some places… a little? But generally: not so much. 

That said, I’m not unhappy with the thing that came out of this little experiment. The piece has an interesting atmospheric feel to it, I think, not in the least due to the fact that I had the window open when recording (playing the bass part live while at the same time doing the routing of the audio). The wind and street noises - cars, seagulls - coming in and being fed into the effects chains, work rather well.

This piece is the third and the last piece of my Wittgenstein cycle and also an homage to Solage to express my fumeusement**
for his Rondeaux ‘’fumeux fume par fumee’’. 

The idea behind the polytext use is based on how much each text can be perceived 
as explanatory, commentary and complementary in relation with each other. 
As a composer I consider myself very lucky because the self-contained and self-explanatory qualities of each text
make it possible for me to stay silent whereof I can't speak as Witgenstein suggest in his famous sentence.

**fumeusement: with sadness, with grief, quarreling, with haziness, intangibility,
 tendency to rise, shifts in shape, easily wafted or dissipated  with the heat that fum produces, just like the fumeurs.

รัฐบาลเศรษฐา ทวีสิน ได้เริ่มต้นอย่างเป็นทางการแล้ว หลังมีการแถลงนโยบายต่อรัฐสภาเสร็จสิ้น

หมายความว่าจากนี้การบริหารราชการแผ่นดินสามารถเดินหน้าไปได้เต็มอัตรา

ขณะเดียวกันก็หมายความว่าเมื่อมีรัฐบาลจากซีกเพื่อไทย ฝ่ายค้านจากซีกก้าวไกลก็เดินเครื่องตรวจสอบเต็มอัตราเช่นกัน

จากนี้ไปรัฐบาลเศรษฐาต้องพิสูจน์ตัวเองจากผลงานและการกระทำ ผ่านคำสัญญาที่เป็นนโยบายอันแถลงไว้ต่อหน้า ‘ผู้แทนปวงชนชาวไทย’ คือ สส. และ สว.

ขณะที่การตรวจสอบรัฐบาลเป็นหน้าที่ของฝ่ายค้าน แม้ในอดีตก้าวไกลและเพื่อไทยจะเคยร่วมฟากกันมา แต่บัดนี้แยกทางกันอย่างชัดเจน

แผนปฏิบัติการและที่มาของงบประมาณอันจะนำมาดำเนินนโยบายคือรายละเอียดที่หลายฝ่ายจับตา

ในทางเศรษฐกิจดูเหมือนมติ ครม. จะจัดแพ็กเกจชุดใหญ่ให้ประชาชนแล้วในการประชุม ครม. นัดแรก

แต่ในทางการเมืองนับแต่นี้เชื่อว่ารัฐบาลเศรษฐาต้องเจอแพ็กเกจชุดใหญ่ ทั้งความคาดหวังจากประชาชนและการตรวจสอบจากรัฐสภา

อันมีชื่อ ‘พิธา’ เป็นแม่ทัพคนสำคัญ แม้จะยังไม่รู้ชะตากรรมการทำงานในสภา หลังถูกสั่งหยุดปฏิบัติหน้าที่ แต่นอกสภายังเดินสายต่อเนื่อง

Attraction or affinity to place. The work is an attempt to construct a meaningful intimate aural space, where texture and spatially defined figures have a broader capacity for action due to their multichannel nature. The recordings of source materials form the beginning of an investigation into capturing and working with spatiality in micro space using bespoke hardware.
