Mauro Rizla was born in Pescara (Italy) in 1974.

He discovered his passion for DJing at a young age of 13, when in those years Afro-Funk music was very popular in his area. 

Due to the strong similarity between his surname and the famous brand of rolling papers, his friends lovingly dubbed him Rizla, and his alias was made.

He was born artistically in the early 90’s at “AudioMusicRadio”, a well-known radio station around the city during those years.

Mauro moved to northern Italy in 2008 where he became a member of "hot chocolate" DJ’s group and started to work also as a producer. 

In 2011 he became dj resident at Cockette party in Milan (project end when DJ Max_M, as one of the founders, passed away) that has given the opportunity to perform in the best clubs in Milan like DUDE Club, Plastic and Q21. 

Always in 2011 he became part of the "Whitek Music” project with other DJ’s.

From 2015 based in Amsterdam, focused also to the "Unpronounceable" project that express his origins related to Electro, Dark-Wave, Synth-Wave, Post-Punk, Psych, Industrial, Experimental.

About The Set :

For Tracklistings the intension was to create an unfocused style set putting together the genres of his two projects, Mauro Rizla and Unpronounceable. A trip across the ages with records from early 90’s to nowadays.

sus destellos son solo impostura,
engañan y siembran siempre la duda,
Y detrás de ellas se esconde amargura.

Las promesas oscuras son laberintos,
Marcan el rumbo de nuestros instintos,
nos atrapan en redes, nos hacen creer,
que encontraremos lo que deseamos tener.

En la penumbra de promesas oscuras,
se teje un manto de misterio y dudas,
donde palabras ocultan verdades,
y las promesas son sombras errantes.
Prometen luces dentro de la negrura,
sus destellos son solo impostura,
engañan y siembran siempre la duda,
Y detrás de ellas se esconde amargura.

Al final del camino solo hallamos vacío,
las promesas oscuras son un cruel desafio,
nos dejan solos y abandonados,
corazones heridos y sueños destrozados.
