Born in Chicago,  1980.. Christopher Rolfes listened to his mother's record collection, Mtv, and the radio as a teenager,  Inspired by artists such as Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode he found that Music and what it represents clearly defines the human spirit it's complex array of emotions......it documents and is the purest form of expression of the human condition. I just want to be a part of that narrative, pure and fearless expression.

Snyper MC is a live microphone controller stationed in Upland, Ca. He is known to write top secret metaphoric lyrics and burn them upon completion. He is known to be one of the best "top of head" freestyle MC's in the area. He double times lyrics, triplets them up, and clears out any confusion about what a real MC is.

Created within the depths of unfortold imaginations. Brought forth by the

coming of nations. Derived by the systematic psychosis that once fed the

planet. They called him the Snyper.  His first encounter with electronic music was

not typical. He was majorly influenced by the style of Braindance, known as IDM

(intelligent dance music) in the US, a complex style of electronic music with

glitchy drum loops and symphnic melodies. From the age of 14 Snype was obsessed

with this sophisticated sound that came from IDM. His quest to find more music

like this led him to find artists of the likes of, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin,

Amen Andrews, Plug, Current value, Venitian Snares and more. At the same time

Snype was getting into undergroundhip hop which encouraged him to be a

freestyle rapper. While not knowing much and battling the seniors in high

school while being a freshman he gained respect and knowledge that led him to

find Drum and Bass Music. The first time Snype heard an official Drum and Bass

Track he fell in love. He also found out that there were emcee's that went

along with drum and bass. This led Snype to go to his first rave. The

experience motivated him to be apart of the scene. While staying quiet for a

while and just enjoying the music, he first linked up with the crew Sensory

Overload Entertainment ( SOE ). SOE was known for throwing fifty-50 events at

the crud muffin in long beach with cheap entry and free beer and hookah all

night. Fifty-50 being half and half, electro, house and trance in one room, and

drum and bass, breaks, and harcore in the other. Snype first picked up the mic

with DJ Kalel from Jungle Theory at these events with the motivational support

from MC's Type, Agez, and Fifty-50 promoter Bdubz. Since that day Snype has

been considered to be one of the most improved and sophisticated emcee's the

Los Angeles DNB Scene has ever had. The double timing, Tripelet fueled, energy

driven, and spot on enunciation of each spoken word has gained him massive

respect in the Los Angeles Area and beyond. His main focus in lyricism is very

political, controversial, and is usually in high regards of hating the

Government. Mainly attacking corporate america, trendy club goers,

Schizophrenia, Drug Abuse, and top 40 Music. If you were to combine American

Punk Rock, Hip Hop, and an encyclopedia you will develope a clone of Snype. He

has been known to write full pages of lyrics with a vocabulary that would make

even a college professor pull out the dictionary. Big influences of his style

of lyricism would be Bone Thugz N harmoney, Forreign Beggars, Wu Tang, Gang

Starr, and believe it or not, The exploited. While developing his style he has

been a long time resident and co founder of "Jungle Theory" which had a solid 4

year running. Jungle Theory was one of the biggest and most undergroun style

of show the scene had. With it using all the roots and elements of hip hop and

putting them to the style of Jungle and Drum and Bass made it an instant spot

to be. Jungle Theory is now on Hiatus as Snype has been developing his talent

for Lyricism and is now a resident MC at the Weekly Drum and

Bass-Dubstep-Jungle show called Church. Linking with the Gone Jahmen crew Snype

was able to showcase his technique all over. He has played at such events as,

Church, Jungle Theory, I Love LA, Fresh, HeartBeat Dubstep, Bass Lounge, Bass

Goes Boom, Fifty-50, Upgrade, Influx, Bell Ringer, Beatz By The Beach,

Headbangaz, Halloween OC, and too many more to count. He has Performed with the

likes of, MC's Agez, Werd, Type, XYZ, Dre, Klepto, Maddox, Woes, QuestionMark,

Julz The Huntress, Kemst Dino, J-Tec, Poisn, Blitz, TC Izlam, Core, Stylus,

Brakka D, Literates, React, Ridda, Sage Emeralds, Whiskey Pete, Seaweed, Kwek,

Milx, and DJ's to name a few, Taxman, Original Sin, High Roller, 6Blocc,

Capital J, DJ Swamp, Marcus Visionary, Bare, Dumbsteppaz, Itchy Robot, Clutch,

DLX, Direct Feed, Celerity, APX1, CRS?, General malice, Iray, Knorsq, Crossbreed, Heretic,

Dioptrics and many more to list. Snype continues to decimate microphones and

show crowds what being a Drum and Bass Emcee is all about. You Catch him every

sunday at Church Drum and Bass/Dubstep at Friar Tucks in Pomona, Ca. His

Current Affiliates are Jungle Theory, Church, Konkrete Jungle, and is the

newest member of the Gone Jahmen Crew. As MC Type once told him years ago,

"Drum and Bass is a story." The story has just begun, and Snyper is barely

warming up.
